With the brand new deluxe boat Princeza Diana, you can experience on this trip the greenest part of Croatia for one week. Not only the famous national parks of Dalmatia like Krka and Kornati or the nature park of Telašćica are part of this wonderful tour, but also the medieval old towns of Šibenik, Zadar and Trogir. We also visit Dugi Otok – probably the most beautiful Middle-Dalmatian Island.
This tour is part of the Islandhopping Plus-Program with a new category of boats which are synonym for greatest possible comfort due to the offered space and luxurious furnishing. The deluxe boats also allow combined trekking bike and E-bike cruises because they offer an extra cargo hold in the bunt where own or rental trekking bikes and E-bikes can be stored and which is equipped with enough power sockets for the battery stations.

Day 1: Trogir - Rogoznica (9 miles/15 km)
Individual arrival by car to Trogir or by plane to Split airport, which is about 3 mi. away from the harbour of Trogir. After the check in on the motor yacht, we leave Trogir around 1 p.m. During the crossing to Rogoznica, our first lunch will be enjoyed. Later in the afternoon, it is time to test the bicycles and take a small cycle tour around Rogoznica.
Day 2: Šibenik – Vodice - Biograd (34 miles/55 km)
In the morning, the boat takes us to Šibenik situated at the river mouth of the river Krka and the Adriatic Sea. The Cathedral St. Jacob belongs to the world cultural heritage and is one of the most beautiful sacral buildings of the Adriatic Coast. The old town of Šibenik is also well-worth a visit. Afterwards, we move on by boat to Vodice. Here, we start our cycle tour around the Vraner Lake which is one of the biggest freshwater reservoirs of Croatia. Our final destination for today is Biograd na moru.
Day 3: Islands of Pašman and Ugljan – Zadar (19 miles/30 km)
During breakfast, we cross to Tkon on the island of Pašman. Today, we have plenty of time to discover the two islands of Pašman and Ugljan which are now connected by a bridge. Beautiful views to the sea and the opposite mainland are possible while cycling along the east coast. From Preko on the island of Ugljan, the boat takes us to Zadar. This city was once the political, cultural and sacred centre of Dalmatia. With the tour guide, we stroll through the lively streets of the old town, formed by a 3,000 year old history.
Day 4: Islands of Molat and Dugi Otok (6+28 miles/10+45 km)
In the morning, the boat brings us to the very green island of Molat which is well-known for its luscious vegetation. From Zapuntel, we cycle across the small island to the main harbour of Molat, where our boat awaits us for a sail to the spice island of Dugi Otok. Surrounded by pine trees, agaves and tamarisk trees, the bay Bozava is our starting point for a cycle tour on almost car-free roads. Spectacular views to the deep blue sea and the surrounding islands will impress us later on our way along a panoramic road. There are several fishing villages along the east coast of the island. The boat may pick us up in one of these villages or we cycle until we reach the deep gashed bay of Telašcica. The nature park of Telašcica, with its salt lake Mir, is worth a short hike in the afternoon that leads us also to the impressive cliff line.
Day 5: Island Murter – Vodice - Skradin (17+20 miles/27+33 km)
The day starts with an unforgettable cruise through the National Park of Kornati - an island archipelago in crystal clear water – well known for its diverse underwater world. From Slanica on the island Murter, today's cycling tour leads us to the seaside resort Vodice. The boat awaits us there for lunch and, afterwards, we continue cycling all the way from Vodice to Skradin - the gate to the National Park of Krka where we stay overnight.
Day 6: Skradin – Krka-Waterfalls – Island Zlarin (19+6 miles/31+10 km)
After breakfast, another wonderful cycle tour starts from Skradin through the national park of Krka. We cycle through the well-wooded valleys to the lake of Visovac on the upper part of the river Krka. A swim stop is welcome. On the calm trails, we pass several small villages until we return to Skradin. After lunch, it is time to discover the unique natural state waterfalls of the national park of the Krka-Canyons. Later on in the afternoon, the boat crosses over to the coral island of Zlarin.
Day 7: Primosten - Trogir (28 miles/45 km)
In the morning, we cruise to Primosten. From here, we cycle through the hinterland passing small villages, all the way to Trogir. Many magical views of the town and the island of Ciovo invite for short breaks and taking pictures. The afternoon offers enough time for a stroll through the world cultural heritage old town of Trogir. After dinner, we round our eventful trip with a cozy get-together with crew and tour guides.
Day 8: Disembarkation at Trogir
After breakfast disembarkation until 9 am and individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.

Islandhopping rental bicycles
If you have reserved a rental bicycle you receive a 21-gear aluminium Islandhopping touring bike on arrival. These bikes are especially made for us and the result of our long experience in cycling tourism. The men’s bikes have a frame size of 56 cm or 60 cm, and the frames of the women’s bikes are 46 cm and 52 cm. In order to supply you with the bicycle that fits you we need to know how tall you are. Should you not have given us this information along with your booking we kindly ask you to pass it on to our office team. All the Islandhopping bicycles have a fender, a kickstand, a rack and a quick release seat. Our bicycles are deliberately not equipped with bottle holders in order to avoid accidents. The use of rucksacks (except for hydration packs) is in our opinion less practical than handlebar bags or saddlebags. The later are more easily accessible. If necessary we supply you with a waterproof saddlebag by Ortlieb a practical way of carrying drinks, bathing gear, camera etc.
Alternative: electronically assisted bike, Swiss Flyer brand
Cycle hassle-free and climb mountains without difficulty. Enjoy unimited nature and landscapes. Electronic Bikes make it possible. They are the declaration if independence for everybody who enjoys activity! We offer these Bikes for persons from 4' 9" to 6' 2." We do not have any E-Bikes available for guests over 6' 2".
The i:SY-Flyer ECO, a relatively light model of 50 lbs., is a compact bike with a special low frame geometry for easy mounting and 20-inch wheels. The handlebar "Speedlifter Twist" is turnable, making the bike space-efficient for storage. This E-Bike model is equipped with an 8-gear-Shimano hub gearshift (Nexus) as well as Shimano V-brakes. A 10-amp battery along with an 8-amp back-up allow for unlimited riding pleasure.
On each of our ships in Croatia, 2-5 E-Bikes are available and can be rented for a weekly fee of 140 euros. Due to the limited number of E-Bikes a reservation in good time is required.
Should you not want to be without your own saddle (without the post) or your own click pedal please bring them with you and let your tour guide attach them to your rental bicycle. We kindly ask you in your own interest to take good care of the hired bicycle during the trip and to ensure that the bicycle is always safely placed and protected from accidents (e.g. falling into saltwater). Please keep in mind that you will have to pay compensation for any damage your cause and that this is not covered by the rental fee.
Obligatory safety helmets
In order to guarantee optimum protection, we request that you bring your own helmet and - for your own safety - wear it on all bike tours. We deliberately do not supply rental helmets because only a well-fitting helmet can offer a certain amount of protection.

We have rated the physical demands of this bicycling tour with level 1- 2. This tour is thus one of the less demanding in our program. The bike routes require a basic level of fitness which you should have acquired by occasional or daily cycling. The daily routes of 12 to 27 mi. cover hilly or mountainous terrain and can be completed without time constraints. The routes can reach an altitude of 650 to 1,300 ft. You will also come across some longer and rather steep climbs where pushing your bike is of course permitted. The roads are mostly asphalted and usually there is little traffic.
The tour guides will inform you about the course of the tour in due time. You can always choose to skip a bike tour and spend the time sunbathing on the ship instead. You can also decide each day for yourself whether you would like to cycle individually using the maps provided or join one of the tour guides.
We generally believe that only children with a lot of cycling experience and in a good physical condition aged 10 years and older are able to master the bike tours on their own. Furthermore, we offer bicycle rental only for people of 5 ft. height or more. For smaller children, bicycle seats are limited available (reservation required).
This tour is rated Moderate and is for cyclists in good physical condition.

Nearest airport: Split, Croatia
Nearest train station: Split Crotia
Arriving by plane is the fastest, cheapest and most comfortable way to reach Trogir, as the nearest airport (Split Airport, "SPU") is situated at a distance of only 4 mi. from the town. Another possibility is Zadar airport.
If there is no direct flight connection between your local airport and the Split Airport, it would probably be best to fly to an airport in Germany first (e.g. Frankfurt Airport, "FRA"). Hundreds of international flights are offered from most countries to Frankfurt Airport every day. A connection flight from there (or any German airport) to Split.
From the following German airports you can fly directly to Split with cheap flights that can be easily booked through the internet by your own:
Germanwings: www.germanwings.de
Airberlin: www. airberlin.de
Intersky: www.intersky.de
Easyjet: www.easyjet.com
Please try to book a flight that arrives at Split airport before 12 p.m. because the boat is departing from Trogir around 1 p.m.
Participants arriving on flights after or around 1 p.m. will as a general rule be required to travel directly to Split (approx. 16 mi. by car), where the ship will meet them from around 4 p.m. onwards. This will mean you cannot participate in the small bike tour of approx. 16 mi. around Split. However, most of these participants will be able to enjoy a longer stay in Trogir on the day of departure. The tour guides will arrange a safe place for the luggage storage in a hotel at the harbor.
Transfers between airport and ship
For the transfer from Split airport to the boat we recommend to take a taxi (destination: harbor of Trogir, approx. 6 km/20 euro). From Zadar airport we offer a group transfer for you. The transfer to the ship and back to the airport at the end of the trip will cost 30 euro/person/way. The transfers have to be paid with the booking. For all group transfers a reservation is required. For the organization please indicate your exact flight numbers and arrival times.

A rich, cultural history and diverse, majestic landscape describes the country of Croatia. Calling their country “Our Beautiful Homeland”, the Croats offer a warm welcome to visitors who want to experience the wonders of Croatia. Flat plains along the Hungarian border, low mountains and highlands near the Adriatic coastline and over 1,000 islands explain why Croatia is one of few nations to have three distinct climate zones.
Diversity continues in the Croatian culture with four cultural circles thriving together: Western, Eastern and Central Europe, and Mediterranean. Each culture retains its unique customs, including lace-making in Lepoglava, bell ringers in the Kasta region and Ojkanje singing in the Dalmatia region. Cuisine varies in the coastal region that favors seafood specialties, olive oil and prosciutto compared to the continental region that favors meat products, freshwater fish and vegetables. Other highlights include Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace in Split, a Roman amphitheatre in Pula and the city of Dubrovnik, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic."

When traveling across the exterior borders of the EU, your luggage must remain unlocked, to facilitate passage through customs. If your baggage is searched, you will be notified about it upon arrival at the destination. If problems with the procurement of the services occur, you are required to help within the scope of legal regulations, in order to avoid potential damages or keep them at a minimum and report any complaints to us immediately.
Duty of Care
During the duration of the trip, you are liable for damage to or loss of bicycles and any equipment entrusted to you. For guided tours, this is only valid if you have separated yourself from the group, have disobeyed instructions from the tour guides, or caused the damage or loss intentionally, through negligence or gross negligence.
Warranty
You can demand redress if the trip services are not rendered according to the contract. This can be solved by us providing compensation of equal or greater value. In the case of disproportionate effort, corrective action can be denied. For the period in which the services that have not been rendered according to contract, you can request a reduction in travel price after your return. The pre-condition for this is the immediate notification of our deficiencies or those of our tour guides, so that we have the opportunity to find a remedy. Tour guides are not authorized to recognize claims. Independent of a reduction in travel price, you can demand compensation due to non-compliance with the travel contract, unless we are not responsible for the defect.
Limitation of claim
Claims must be made in writing within one month of the contractual end of the trip. The statute of limitation for claims based on the contract expires six months after the contractual end of the trip. The statute of limitations for all claims of civil offence expires three years after the end of the trip.
