Our bike-tours in Southern Dalmatia, the smallest and most sparsely populated region of Croatia, will take us past unique little towns and the beautiful island countryside. These tours will let us experience the beautiful island of Korčula with its picturesquely situated old township, the island of Mljet, with its impressive national park and the beautiful lavender island of Hvar. Our tour guide explains us the towns of Trogir, Hvar, Stari Grad and Korčula, which are almost all protected under UNESCO‘s World Heritage list. This tour is often offered parallel to the mountain bike cruise in Southern Dalmatia on the same boat. In this case one tour guide will cycle with the mountain bikers while the other will accompany the trekking cyclists.

Day 1: Trogir – Split (12 miles/20 km)
Individual arrival by car to Trogir or by plane to Split airport, which is about 3 mi. away from the harbor of Trogir. After check in on the motor yacht, the first short cruise starts at 1 p.m. from Trogir to Split. Here we undertake our first cycle tour to the Marjan Mountain, a popular relaxation destination for the inhabitants of Split. After this tour we can go on a walk through the old town of Split, which is built adjoining the famous palace of the Roman Caesar Diocletian and is a world heritage site.
Day 2: Cetina Canyon (19 miles/30 km or 27 miles/43 km)
After breakfast, we cycle through the valley of the Cetina River which is surrounded by steep rocks. After 12.5 mi., we have the choice to take part on a 4 hours rafting tour on the Cetina River and afterwards a small cycle tour of about 6.2 mi. back to the boat - or to expand the cycling tour to 27 mi. along small side roads and versatile landscapes until reaching Omiš and its pirate castles. In the afternoon, cruise to Island Brac with a bathing stop. Brac is famous for its shining white marble which was also used for the White House and the Reichstag in Berlin.
Day 3: Bracc Island (14 miles/22 km)
Today's route begins in Pucisca with a long but moderate ascent to the mountain ridge of the island past mulberry, kiwi and fig trees, olive groves and vineyards. The following descent to Bol rewards us for our earlier climb with amazing panoramic views of the neighboring island Hvar. Right before lunch, we cross to the island of Korcula. Overnight stay in the picturesque harbor of Racisce.
Day 4: Mljet Island (7 miles/12 km)
Early in the morning, we cruise to the green and forestry island Mljet - known as the honey island. During the 12th Century, Benedictines established a wonderfully situated monastery on this island. The pinewood is known as one of the most impressing of the whole Mediterranean - It is said that Odysseus has stayed there for seven years. Today, the place is a national park and a highlight of every Dalmatian trip. We have enough time to explore the national park on a small cycle tour, as well as to visit the "Monastery Island of the Holy Maria" and finally, of course, we may take a swim. In the afternoon, the ship awaits us to cruise to Korcula town where we have time to take an exciting walk though the wonderful old town with its narrow "fishbone-like" alleys.
Day 5: Korcula Island (34 miles/55 km)
Today, we explore the Island of Korcula by bicycle. The peacefulness and remoteness of luscious gardens with large cypresses dominate the appearance of perhaps the most beautiful Dalmatian island. First, we cycle along the coastal road for a short while. After a short period of pushing our bikes to Pupnat, we reach the old pass road above the magnificent bay of Pupnat and later the village of Blato which, like Rome, was built on 7 hills. Overnight stay in the harbor of Vela Luka.
Day 6: Hvar Island (12.5+15 miles/20+25 km)
After arriving in Hvar, we make an interesting tour around the town, across the large Renaissance square, which is lined with the cathedral and many late gothic palaces. Our first bike tour for today leads us along the almost traffic free pass road through small villages. After lunch in Stari Grad, we make a second cycle tour. The destinations for the tour are the harbors of Jelsa and Vrboska, which invite us to an extended break. We stay overnight in Stari Grad, which has become a mecca for artists and art lovers in the past few years.
Day 7: Solta Island (12 miles/19 km)
After crossing over to Stomorska on the island of Solta we commence our last cycle tour. Walled fields, numerous olive groves, locust bean and fig trees line the roads. The herb smells of lavender and rosemary accompany us along our tour of this island. In Maslinica we load the bikes onto the ship and enjoy our last crossing back to Trogir where, if time permits, we can take a tour of the old town which is a world heritage site. The last evening aboard takes place traditionally and includes the communal dinner and a last get-together in a cozy atmosphere with crew and tour guides.
Day 8: Disembarkation at Trogir
After breakfast, disembarkation until 9 am; individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.

Comfort ship KAPETAN JURE (all cabins with shower/toilet)
The Kapetan Jure, at 88 ft. long and 23 ft. wide, is a comfortable and spacious wooden motor yacht that was built in 2000. 11 of the 15 cabins are above deck. 10 of these are furnished with the two beds arranged side by side, while one cabin has bunk beds. The remaining 4 cabins are below deck, and are furnished with a double bed and a porthole. Captain Anton and his crew form an experienced team, which knows how to pamper their guests with delicious specialties. The cabins have simple, but functional equipment and are furnished with two beds and a small wardrobe or an open shelf. There is enough space for sleeping and storing a sea bag or a travel bag.
Premium ship ROMANTICA (all cabins with shower/toilet)
The Romantica of captain Jure was launched in May 2007. The ship is 105 ft. long and 25 ft. wide, and it possesses a solid structural steelwork, which, as the name says, connects romance with modern trend and functionally. To the elegant appearance of his ship captain Jure pays a lot of attention: 17 comfortably equipped cabins with a size of about 10 sq ft. also offer sufficient area to larger groups to accommodation. The generous cabins feature top-of-the-line equipment. The sundeck offers couch mats for sunbathing and relaxing. A characteristic of the ship is a platform at the stern of the boat, from which you can take a bath in the sea in a very comfortable way.
Premium boat SAN SNOVA (shower/toilet in each cabin)
The MS San Snova is a new wooden motor sailer that was launched in spring 2009 and made exclusively for Islandhopping cruises. The ship, constructed entirely of oak, was built in three years by the Scherka family in their own carpentry workshop as family project. The ship, 100 ft. long and 26 ft. wide, meets the highest expectations in regard to comfort, elegance and style, combining romantic seafaring with modernity and functionalism. Young captain Tonci, his brother Josip and ever-cheerful Jelena pride themselves in the meticulous appearance of the ship and the cordiality on board.
The San Snova has five double cabins and five triple cabins above deck, as well as four spacious triple cabins below deck. Two of these triple cabins can also be used as quadruple cabins by adding a camp bed. The fittings of the cabins as well as the saloon and the outside area are of superior quality with many carefully created details. The roomy sun deck offers comfortable mats for relaxing and lounge chairs are found on the afterdeck. So let yourself be pampered and enjoy the "Dream of Dreams" (San Snova), as the Scherka family named their new ship!
Catering
The cook on board is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and two warm meals a day. The full board starts with the lunch on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.

Islandhopping hybrid touring bike
If you have reserved a rental bicycle, you receive a 21-gear aluminium Islandhopping touring bike on arrival. These bikes are especially made for us and the result of our long experience in cycling tourism. The men's bikes have a frame size of 56 cm or 60 cm, and the frames of the women's bikes are 46 cm and 52 cm.
All the Islandhopping bicycles have a fender, a kickstand, a rack and a quick release seat. Our bicycles are deliberately not equipped with bottle holders in order to avoid accidents. Swiss FLYER electrically assisted bike
We offer these Bikes for persons from 4' 9" to 6' 2". For guests over 6' 2", we offer larger E-Bikes in limited number. The i:SY-Flyer ECO, a relatively light model of 50 lbs, is a compact bike with a special low frame geometry for easy mounting and 20-inch wheels. The handlebar "Speedlifter Twist" is turnable, making the bike space-efficient for storage. This E-Bike model is equipped with an 8-gear-Shimano hub gearshift (Nexus) as well as Shimano V-brakes. A 10-amp battery along with an 8-amp back-up allow for unlimited riding pleasure.
Should you not want to be without your own saddle (without the post) or your own click pedal please bring them with you and let your tour guide attach them to your rental bicycle.

The bike tours require a basic level of fitness from participants, which they should have acquired from steady cycling. The tours will take us up to a height of between 600 and 1,500 ft. above sea-level. The day-tours from 7.5 mi.-34 mi. will take us through hilly and mountainous terrain and will be completed without any time-constraints. Participants will also need to master long and steep climbs, during which they are permitted to push their bikes.
You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend on board the boat, instead of taking a planned bike-tour.
We will traverse mostly asphalted roads, which are rarely traveled on outside the holiday seasons. Each day you can either decide to bike alone, using the information and maps provided, or join the two tour guides or other participants.
Helmet use is mandatory on all bike tours. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own (well-fitted) helmet. Rental helmets are available in limited numbers (reservation requested).
This tour is rated Moderate and is for cyclists in good physical condition.
We believe that only children in a good physical condition and with a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the bike tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 4 ft. In Croatia, there is a helmet duty for all children up to age 16.

A rich, cultural history and diverse, majestic landscape describes the country of Croatia. Calling their country “Our Beautiful Homeland”, the Croats offer a warm welcome to visitors who want to experience the wonders of Croatia. Flat plains along the Hungarian border, low mountains and highlands near the Adriatic coastline and over 1,000 islands explain why Croatia is one of few nations to have three distinct climate zones.
Diversity continues in the Croatian culture with four cultural circles thriving together: Western, Eastern and Central Europe, and Mediterranean. Each culture retains its unique customs, including lace-making in Lepoglava, bell ringers in the Kasta region and Ojkanje singing in the Dalmatia region. Cuisine varies in the coastal region that favors seafood specialties, olive oil and prosciutto compared to the continental region that favors meat products, freshwater fish and vegetables. Other highlights include Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace in Split, a Roman amphitheatre in Pula and the city of Dubrovnik, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic."

Your cancellation is valid when your written notification reaches us. Our cancellation fees are:
If you cancel on the day of the trip or if you do not appear for the start of the trip, we charge the full trip price.

Services
The foundation upon which the trip is organized is the description of the services, which is available in the brochure, in official pamphlets and on our website, and confirmed in your travel contract. Alterations that become necessary after the finalization of the contract and that are made in good faith are permitted if they are not substantial, and do not change the overall character of the trip. We assume no liability for information in the brochures of our partners or in our own brochure, even if we issued them.
Liability
We are liable within the scope of a merchant’s duty of care for diligent trip preparation, careful selection and supervision of participating agencies, accuracy of service and activity descriptions, and standard provision of the services agreed upon. Our liability for damages other than personal injury is limited to three times the cost of the trip, provided the damages are neither intentional nor due to gross negligence. This limitation is still in effect if we are responsible for the damage due to the fault of a service provider. If we are solely procurers of foreign services, we are liable only for proper procurement, not for the services. We are liable for damage or loss of luggage up to the amount of 250 € only if the damage was caused by us and was indicated to us immediately. Scratches on luggage, torn luggage handles, and damaged wheels are excluded from any liability. Upon delivery of luggage at the accommodation facilities, the liability is transferred according to § 701 BGB to the officer of the accommodations. Services that were not made use of will not be reimbursed.
Participation
A vacation that involves exercise and physical activity requires greater commitment than a conventional package tour. It is your duty to make certain that you are up to the physical challenges of such a trip. The pre-condition for a bike-tour is that you are able to handle a bicycle in street traffic and on unpaved paths under any weather conditions. If you rent a bike, it is your responsibility to check the condition of the bike, particularly the brakes. You bear sole responsibility for adhering to all legal regulations at home and abroad, particularly regulations about travel documents and cross-border trade. When traveling across the exterior borders of the EU, your luggage must remain unlocked, to facilitate passage through customs. If your baggage is searched, you will be notified about it upon arrival at the destination. If problems with the procurement of the services occur, you are required to help within the scope of legal regulations, in order to avoid potential damages or keep them at a minimum and report any complaints to us immediately.
Duty of Care
During the duration of the trip, you are liable for damage to or loss of bicycles and any equipment entrusted to you. For guided tours, this is only valid if you have separated yourself from the group, have disobeyed instructions from the tour guides, or caused the damage or loss intentionally, through negligence or gross negligence.
Warranty
You can demand redress if the trip services are not rendered according to the contract. This can be solved by us providing compensation of equal or greater value. In the case of disproportionate effort, corrective action can be denied. For the period in which the services that have not been rendered according to contract, you can request a reduction in travel price after your return. The pre-condition for this is the immediate notification of our deficiencies or those of our tour guides, so that we have the opportunity to find a remedy. Tour guides are not authorized to recognize claims. Independent of a reduction in travel price, you can demand compensation due to non-compliance with the travel contract, unless we are not responsible for the defect.
Limitation of claim
Claims must be made in writing within one month of the contractual end of the trip. The statute of limitation for claims based on the contract expires six months after the contractual end of the trip. The statute of limitations for all claims of civil offence expires three years after the end of the trip.
