Tour Description: Guided

Start the tour in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania for more than 600 years, with a welcome meeting at the hotel. Next day go for a city tour around Vilnius and transfer to Trakai, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. After visit to the insular castle of the 14th century cycling on picturesque hilly road and transfer by coach to Kaunas. The third day starts with a transfer falong the Nemunas River to the seaside region where start cycling to the Vent! Horn. After visit an ornithological station and the 19th century lighthouse take a boat across the Curonian Lagoon to Nida and enjoy a beautiful view to sand dunes of the Curonian Spit. Next day sightseeing around Nida, one of the most beautiful resorts in Lithuania, and cycling on the Seaside Cycle Route which takes you along the Curonian Spit to Klaipeda.

En route stop at “Dead” sand dunes and colony of grey herons and cormorants, visit the Hill of Witches. The fifth day start with a ride to Palanga through the Seaside Regional Park. After visit to the Botanical Garden and Amber Museum transfer to Riga (Latvia). En route stop at the Hill of Crosses, the unforgettable place with thousands of crosses on two small hills. The sixth day starts with a city tour of Riga. In the afternoon cycling to Jurmala, the largest resort in the Baltic States. The seventh day transfer to the Baltic Coast in Saulkrasti where start cycling through the Gauja National Park to Sigulda, the most popular resort in Latvia.

En route visit Turaida Castle and Krimulda church, enjoy spectacular views of the Gauja River valley. Next morning transfer to the Estonian border where start cycling on picturesque road along the Baltic Sea Coast. Then transfer to Haapsalu with a stop in Pärnu, Estonian “Summer Capital”. The last cycling day starts with a transfer outside Haapsalu and cycling to Padise. Then transfer to Tallinn with a stop in Keila-Joa to explore the waterfall and the highest coastal cliffs in Estonia. After check-in at the hotel go for a city tour - visiting the Old Town of Tallinn. The tour ends next morning.

Day 1: Vilnius
Arrival in Vilnius. Individual transfer to the hotel (not included). Check-in at the hotel.
7:00 p.m. (19:00) welcome meeting at the hotel with tour guide. Optional dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Vilnius- Trakai-Kaunas (19 miles/30km)
9:00 a.m. a city tour of Vilnius, capital of Lithuania for more than 600 years. The tour includes: the Cathedral Square, St.Ann and Bernardines’ Church, the Gates of Dawn with a holy image of the Virgin Mary, Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, Town Hall Square and Vilnius University (founded in 1579) with St. John’s Church. Afternoon trip to Trakai (25 km from Vilnius), the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Visit to the insular castle of the 14th century, erected on a small island in lake Galv. Then cycling on picturesque hilly road and transfer by coach to Kaunas. Arrival in Kaunas, check-in and optional dinner at the hotel.
Overnight in Kaunas. 

Day 3: Kaunas-Žemaitkiemis-Vente-Nida (21 miles/35km)
Morning transfer along the Nemunas River to the seaside region. En route passing by Veliuona mound hill and impressive 16th-17th century castles of Raudone and Panemune. Bicycling from Åemaitkiemis to the Vente Horn where visit the ornithological station and the 19th century lighthouse that was active for more than 100 years. Take a boat across the Curonian Lagoon to Nida and enjoy a beautiful view to sand dunes of the Curonian Spit separating the Baltic Sea from the Curonian Lagoon. Arrival in Nida, check-in and optional dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Nida-Juodkrante-Klaipeda (38 miles/60km)
Sightseeing around Nida, one of the most beautiful resorts in Lithuania. Exploring the Amber Gallery and a summer house of the famous German writer Thomas Mann. Cycling on the Seaside Cycle Route which takes you along the Curonian Spit to Klaipeda. En route stop at “dead” sand dunes and colony of grey herons and cormorants, visit the Hill of Witches which houses a hundred fanciful and folksy wooden sculptures scattered along a forest path. Arrival in Smiltyne, take a ferry to the Old Town of Klaipeda, the main seaport of Lithuania. Check-in and optional dinner at the hotel.

Day 5: Klaipeda-Palanga-Hill of Crosses-Sigulda (16 miles/25km)
Early morning ride to Palanga through the Seaside Regional Park, a former soviet military training area. Arrive in Palanga, the biggest Lithuanian seaside resort for a tour which includes a visit to the Botanical Garden and the Amber Museum in the Palace of Count Tyszkiewicz, with over 25000 pieces of amber and 15000 insects on display. Afternoon transfer to Riga (Latvia). En-route stop at the Hill of Crosses, the unforgettable sight of thousands of crosses on two small hills. Continue to Sigulda, the most popular resort in Latvia, in the Gauja River Valley. Arrive in Sigulda, check-in and optional dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Gauja National Park and Bicycle Museum-Riga (25 miles/40km)
Cycling through Gauja National Park to Saulkrasti, en route enjoy spectacular views of Gauja River valley with Gutmana Cave, explore ruins of the 13thC Crusaders Castle in Sigulda, visit Turaida Castle and the oldest Latvian Church, Krimulda, built in 1205. Finish the ride with a visit to the most interesting Latvian bicycle museum followed by a transfer to Riga, the capital city of Latvia. Check-in and optional dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Riga-Jurmala (19 miles/30km)
After breakfast a guided tour of Riga, a medieval Hanseatic town: see Riga castle, St.Peter`s Church, Dome Cathedral and the Old Guild Houses. In the afternoon cycling to Jurmala, the largest resort in the Baltic States well known for its long, white, sand beaches, mineral waters and mud with healing properties. Transfer back by coach to the hotel in Riga. Optional dinner in local restaurant.

Day 8: Riga-Ikla-Parnu-Haapsalu (19 miles/30 km)
Morning transfer to the Estonian border. En route stop in Cesis, one of Latvia’s prettiest and oldest Hanseatic towns. Arrival in Ikla where start cycling on picturesque road along the Baltic Sea Coast through fishermen’s villages. Transfer to Haapsalu with a stop in Pärnu, Estonian “Summer Capital”. Arrival in Haapsalu famous for its Bishop’s Castle, curative mud baths and the longest railway station constructed to accommodate the arrival of the Russian royal family’s train after 1852. Check-in and optional dinner at the hotel.

Day 9: Hiiumaa Island and Kassari (34 miles/55km)

Transfer to Rohuküla to catch a ferry to the beautiful Estonian island of Hiiumaa. Known as a nature lovers’ paradise, enjoy the ride across the island’s wild beauty before crossing a road bridge onto Kassari. This tiny area was a separate island until it was joined by a land bridge in the 18^th C. In keeping with local tradition, add your stone to the tip of Saaretirp before cycling back to the ferry. Optional dinner in local restaurant

Day 10: Haapsalu- Coastal Cliffs-Tallinn (28 miles/45 km)
Morning transfer outside the city, where the cycling begins along the Baltic Coast. A further coach transfer to Tallinn stopping en route in Keila-Joa to explore the waterfall and the highest coastal cliffs in Estonia. Arrive in Tallinn, check-in at the hotel followed by a guided tour of Tallinn Old Town. Here you’ll see Tallinn’s most important attractions: Toompea Castle fortifications, the 13thC Dome Church, the 19thC Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Alexander Nevskij, Town Hall Square (15th C), the Old Guild, and St.Olaf's Church. Optional farewell dinner in local restaurant.
