Bordeaux is known all over the world thanks to its famous vineyards. Such a famous region is a logical starting point for your cycling trip, with its rich cultural and historical sights.
Enjoy the sweet atmosphere as you follow an itinerary which will guide you from the 'Entre deux mers' area to the land of 'Haut Médoc'.
Smell the delicate and fruity fragrances diffused from the famous wine properties, and dream about the glorious and turbulent past of these old properties that you will cycle past!

Day 1: Arrival in Bordeaux
From your hotel ideally located, spend the evening discovering Bordeaux, with its numerous green and flowered open spaces, its exceptional heritage, and the quality of life naturally definted by gastronomic pleasures and nocturnal parties.
Overnight in Bordeaux.
Day 2: Bordeaux - Cadillac (32 miles/52 km)
Proud of its new transport facilities, Bordeaux has given a large access to bikes! By this way, you easily leave the town centre to ride on an original and rustic cycling path which will lead you to Créon, a typical fortified village of this area. You then continue through the vineyards of Cadillac until the surrounding wall of the village.
Overnight in Cadillac.
Day 3: Excursion to Sauterne vineyards (24 miles/38 km)
Today you have a loop tour to Sauterne vineyards. After a ride between forest and vineyards, the Chateau Yquem will appear and invite you to discover another taste: a honey flavour for a sweet white wine highly appreciated by wine’s lover! From the deep cellars to the small routes between vineyards, ride on the path of a soil renown throughout the entire world. En route you will have the opportunity to stop at the Toulouse Lautrec resting place before returning to Cadillac via Loupiac.

Day 4: Cadillac – St Emilion (31 miles/50 km)
This stage will allow you to ride through the heart of 'Entre-deux Mer' vineyards, from the Garonne to the Dordogne River. You will have the opportunity to visit the charming village of Rauzan, overlooked by its dignified medieval chateau, before reaching the prestigious village of Saint-Emilion, one of the richest village in historical testimonies.
Overnight in St. Emillon.
Day 5: St Emilion - Blaye (38 miles/62 km)
You leave the city symbol of the greatest vintage wines to ride along Bordeaux vineyards and the soil 'Bordeaux Supérieur', before continuing on Côtes de Blaye AOC vineyards. Blaye is also known for its citadel overlooking the Gironde River, a dignified and magnificent structure, built by Vauban during the 17th century and has been classified as historical testimony.
Overnight in Blaye.
Day 6: Blaye - Bordeaux (31 miles/50 km)
Today you can take a marine breath! You start today's ride by crossing the Gironde River by boat to reach Lamarque and its Médoc vineyards. For the most courageous and for the vintage wine's lover, an escapade towards Pauillac is a must! Then, for a wonderful finish, stop at the prestigious Château Margaux before returning to Bordeaux.
Overnight in Bordeaux.
Day 7: Departure
Individual departure from Bordeaux.
