Stay for one week in a lovely bed and breakfast, while you enjoy GPS-supported tours in the beautiful Luberon Regional Park, Provence, Southern France. The area is renowned for its centuries old stone hill-top villages, its sunshine, olives, lavender, Mont Ventoux. Along with its quiet backroads and spectacular countryside, it makes for some of the best cycling you'll ever do.
This tour provides cyclists with flexibility, as guests select their daily rides from a Ride Directory. This means they can select rides that are suitable to their level of fitness (in length and difficulty), whilst choosing the rides that take them past the Provencal sights of interest to them. This flexibility means that if you want to be on the bike all day that’s possible, whilst if you want more "Tourism" that works too! And if you want lots of hills or easier flat terrain its no problem, since it's your choice. There is no one tour that appeals to all, so this way you really do the tour that you want!
The tours are GPS supported. Select your rides on a easy to use GPS systems and off you go. The clear color maps and direction indicators make them easy to use. So no need to bring along cumbersome maps, stopping at every corner; your time will be better spent "heads up" taking in the unique Luberon landscape.
On top of these benefits, you stay at a single base. There is no changing location every day - so no packing, unpacking and the usual logistics involved. You'll stay in a popular 17th-Century Provencal Farmhouse B&B. Enjoy 3 home-cooked dinners, and copious fresh French buffet breakfast outside under the vine pergola. You will also bike the real Provence, as they live in and bike this area all year long. So they know where to find the best rides, quiet backroads, that special restaurant or that village off the beaten track. This is not mass marketing, you are not a number; you will be given a real flavor of Provence. Hopefully the Real Provence guide and the Luberon food guide will point you in the right direction so you can get the most from your stay.

As you chose your own rides there is no fixed program to follow – you pick the rides that suit your capacities and what you want to see.
Here are examples of just four days cycling -- two days for each of the two extremes of cyclists (those who want more sightseeing than cycling, and those whose focus is on the cycling).
With dozens of rides loaded onto our GPS units, there are many more days cycling and sightseeing like this available.
Focus more on cycling:
Day 1
A long (3-hour) morning ride in the quiet and beautiful hills above Fontaine de Vaucluse, then along the river plane with its fruit orchards and beautiful villages (ideal for lunch). Maybe a dip in the pool before another ride (2 hours) taking in the famous Luberon hilltop villages and the old railway bike track. Dinner at the Farmhouse.
Day 2
Why not test yourself with the 6,700 feet (1,912 m) of Mont Ventoux, the Tour de France classic. Punch your time card at the bottom of the “Giant of Provence” then it's 13 miles (21 km) nonstop climbing, with the final 4 miles (6 km) at 10%! Punch your card and admire your time.
Less cycling, more tourism:
Day 1
Ride up to the ancient stone "village des bories" via the back roads, and then take in the stunning view of Gordes hilltop village. This is archetypal Provence village with its fountains, renaissance chateau, beautiful church and beautiful stone streets. Then head on down the hill to one of the many vineyards for some wine-tasting.
Day 2
Off for a ride to the atmospheric village of Fontaine de Vaucluse, and a walk along the crystal clear Sorgue river. Then onto to L’Isle Sur la Sorgue (known as "Venice of Provence"), with its many water ways, dozens of authentic antique shops and riverside restaurants. Finish off on the flat, through the orchards to the Farmhouse and a cool-off in the pool.
