On this hiking tour, you begin from the prestigious Loire River and its Royal châteaux, hiking to the famous Touraine Vineyards. Along the way, you will pass the green Sologne forest.

Day 1: Arrival in Blois
Discover Blois, a town with typical pedestrian streets and its château offering a brilliant illustration of the evolution of French architecture from the Middle Ages to the 17th century.
Overnight in Blois.
Day 2: Blois - Bracieux (13 miles/21 km)
The day begins with departure for a walking stage through the forest, on the way to the pretty village Bracieux situated at the door of the Sologne area!

Day 3: Excursion to Chambord (13 miles/21 km)
Today is a walking excursion to the prestigious Château of Chambord, the widest Château of the Loire Valley, built under King Francis the First. On the way you pass the Forest Estate that covers more than 13,590 acres (5,500 ha).

Day 4: Bracieux - Chitenay (13 miles/21 km)
The walking stage today heads in direction of Cheverny well known for its Château, which is still inhabited by the owners and hunting traditions. You then continue to the typical and charming village of Chitenay.

Day 5: Choussy – Montrichard; transfer by taxi to Choussy (12 miles/19 km)
Leaving the Sologne area through the vineyards, you will reach the Cher Valley and the villages of Bourré and Montrichard. Surrounded by vineyards, these typical villages shelter incomparable underground sites. Among them is a mushroom bed installed in an old carrier where you can now discover the astonishing mushrooms cultivation.

Day 6: Excursion to Chenonceaux (13 or 15 miles/21 or 25 km)
Following the Cher river, this excursion will bring you to Chenonceaux, famous for its Renaissance chateau on the river and rooted in memories of famous ladies in French History: Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici.
Overnight in Montrichard.
Day 7: Montrichard - Amboise (14 miles/22 km)
Today you leave the Cher River to join the Loire River. You will cross the forest of Amboise before reaching the charming town of Amboise where you will have the opportunity to visit the Royal Château (where the most important Kings of France lived) or the Parc Leonardo Da Vinci, last home of Leonardo da Vinci sheltering an astonishing collection of models representing the fabulous inventions of this Renaissance genius.
