Biking along the German/Austrian Danube is a very special pleasure because the hotel is always with you! Gently downhill, mostly with a helpful tailwind, you are experiencing the impressive river as it meanders in the Donauschlinge ("Great Loop") and enjoying the gorgeous landscape of the legendary Wachau with its castles and fortresses. Then Vienna, rich with architecture, a firework of places of interests! A city, hardly to describe – you have to see and feel it! Sights like St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Town Hall and the world's oldest Ferris Wheel (Riesenrad) are easy to reach during a wonderful sightseeing tour by bike. At the Naschmarkt (famous food market), a stroll will become a cultural and culinary adventure. You can also relax at any of the cozy coffee bars or at a typical Viennese wine tavern.
On the guided tour, you cycle in a small group guided by a local tour guide who's familiar with the region. Taste some Austrian delicacies: at an Upper Austrian tavern, you'll try sweet and bitter must; at a wine tavern in the world famous Wachau region, you savour a small variety of regional wine specialities. You experience the Upper Austrian capital Linz on an excursion train. During a guided tour by bike you'll pass by numerous of the sights of Vienna – the city of Waltz. A visit of the monastery of Melk is also an unforgettable experience.

Day 2: Passau – Danube loop – Linz (31 miles/50 km)
Downstream, the way leads you to pretty villages amid natural landscape. Need a boost? Try some of the special cordials and liqueurs in the Trappist monastery in Engelhartszell. Supposedly, they have "special healing power." Relax on the sun deck after a successful day while the ship takes you through the romantic Schlögener loop, where the river makes a very abrupt 180 degree turn. And after dinner, ride on the bright yellow City-Express (optional, not included) and discover Linz, the capital of upper Austria.

Day 3: Linz – Grein (37 miles/60 km)
Today's bike tour takes you directly along the Danube where you have enough time to enjoy the natural state of the meadow landscape. The Celtic town Mitterkirchen gives you an insight of the past. The alternative route, "Clam Castle," through the beautiful back country of the "Strudengau" is slightly hilly, but a fantastic landscape. Grein is the destination of today's stage, place of Austria's oldest city theater and the Castle of Grein (optional, not included).

Day 4: Grein – Melk – Tulln (31 miles/50 km)
Today's stage is marked by a diverse landscape. At the beginning, there is the Strudengau –a narrow point of the Danube which used to be notorious amongst skippers. The valley expands from Persenbeug and the bike tour leads you further to Melk with its gorgeous baroque monastery of the Benedictine brethren. On deck, you enjoy the sunset and the beautiful evening illumination of the Wachau. Today's final destination is Tulln, famous for its numerous market gardens. Today's stage is marked by a diversified landscape.

Day 5: Tulln – Vienna (21 miles/34 km)
Right in front of Vienna's entrance, embedded in a breathtaking landscape, the monastery of Klosterneuburg is situated. You can already see the cupola of this 900 year old baroque building from a distance. "Kahlenbergerdorf" with it's wine taverns is only a hop from the shipping pier and definitely worth a visit. After a stroll through the vineyards, you can enjoy the panoramic view over Vienna. During the city tour (optional, not included) by bus in the afternoon, you will pass most of the numerous and famous sights. You can visit St. Stephens Cathedral and have a short guided walking tour though the old town center.

Day 6: Vienna
You should be sure to see the most famous places of interest like the Prater, the St. Stephens Cathedral and the Hofburg. You can take a city tour by bike (optional, not included). The gorgeous boulevard "Ringstraβe" with the Burgtheater, the State Opera House and the town hall takes you back to the past. There is enough time in the afternoon to stroll or visit one of the famous Viennese coffee bars. The evening end simpressively with a Waltz and Opera concert at the Hofburg (optional, not included), or at a wine tavern.

Day 7: Wachau/Krems - Emmersdorf (22 miles/35 km)
Your last biking day is a special highlight! Amidst small dreamy towns, apricot trees, vineyards, castles, monasteries and ruins, this hilly landscape enchants everybody. You'll be biking on cloud nine! In Weißenkirchen (possibility for a wine-tasting – optional) you will find comfy wine taverns right along the bike path. You owe it to yourself to take a break! After a ceremonial gala dinner, lots of fun and entertainment can be experienced during a crew show.

Day 8: Passau
Every journey draws to an end. Once again you enjoy on deck the first sunbeams and the peaceful silence of the Danube Valley. Take a last sight at the Schlögener Schlinge ("Great Loop") before you arrive relaxed at Passau. Arrival: approx 12 p.m., disembarkation half an hour later.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation fees:
The following exceptional cancellation fees are applying for all bike & boat/bike & river cruise tours:
A NO-SHOW is in effect, if a client does not show for tour departure, is not willing to join tour departure or missed departure by his own fault. No refunds are possible for discontinuance of tour or for any services not utilised. We strongly recommend a travel and/or cancellation insurance.
Appendix:
Additional – Travel Constraints, Bike and Ship tour MS THEODOR KÖRNER
We reserve the right to augment the advertised and booking-confirmed prices in the case of increased operation expenses and taxes, including harbour and docking fees, increased fuel prices, as well as currency exchange rates as followed:
a. If the price increase is specific to one guest in a cabin, the price of that cabin may correspondingly increase.
b. In the case that the entire trip’s operating costs are increased, the costs will be shared and divided equally by each cabin, for the price of each cabin, and increases accordingly.
If our harbour and docking fees increase after the reservation has been done, we will increase the price of the trip accordingly, by the proportional amount.
A price increase will only occur if there are more than 4 months between the booking and the trip departure, and the increased expenses have not yet been taken into account, and were unforeseeable at the time of reservation.
In the case of retroactive price increase, we must immediately contact you. Prices will never be increased within 20 days before departure. If prices increase 5% or more, you have the option to cancel your booking free of charge or to change your booking to a trip of at least equal value, if we are in any position to do so.
We kindly ask to claim your, previously stated, rights concerning price increases immediately after being informed about them.
LIABILITY FOR LUGGAGE TRANSPORT AND CLIENT'S OWN BICYCLES
The daily luggage transport subjects any luggage to a greater deal of "wear and tear". We recommend the use of sturdy bags. Only one piece of luggage per person with a maximum weight of 20 kg can be transported. We are not responsible for minimal damage on handles and corners of the bag, caused by daily usage. For substantial damage or loss, the maximum insurance amount is € 360,00 per person.
The transport of client's own bicycle is at their own risk. We are not responsible for eventual damage that may occur. We strongly recommend a baggage and bicycle insurance.
BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Effective are the laws of the official "General Travel Conditions (ARB 1994)" in full together with the following amendments: Adaptation to the amendment to the Consumer's protection law BGBl. 247/93 Debated by the Consumer-political Counsel of the Federal Ministry of Health, Sports and Consumer's Protection according to § 73 Abs. 1 GewO 1994 and § 8 of the decree of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs in the text of 1994 regarding the performances of travel agencies.The complete text can be looked into in any Austrian travel agency or requested by the tour operator.
PROTECTION OF CLIENT'S PAYMENTS
Protection of client's payments is according to the guidelines of the European Union dated June 13, 1990 (90/314/EWG, article 2 Z1) - as well as the Austrian law of travel agent security decree (RSV) BGBl. II Nr. 16/1999. RAD & REISEN GmbH, Schickgasse 9, A-1220 Vienna, is registered under FN 103860K in the official company register, Commercial Court Vienna, DVR: 0648256. RAD & REISEN is registered under No. 1998/0074 in the register of tour operators at the Federal Ministry of Economy and Labour, Vienna. In the event of insolvency the tour packages organised by RAD & REISEN, are insured by a bank guarantee at RAIFFEISENLANDESBANK BURGENLAND, Raiffeisenstraße 1, A-7001 Eisenstadt under No. 70.042.023. This insurance is valid for services paid, but not rendered and for eventual costs of clients return to home base. According to § 7 Abs. 1/Z 4 RSV, the tour operator RAD & REISEN announces, that it accepts a down payment of maximum 20 % of tour price not earlier than 11 months before tour departure. Down payments and deposits taken earlier than 11 months prior the confirmed tour end and down payments and deposits exceeding the secured amounts are not covered by the travel agent security decree. Liability of RAIFFEISENLANDESBANK BURGENLAND against the costumer only covers an amount up to the payments in respect and is limited by the total sum insured. In case that the total sum insured does not cover all titles in full, claims will be carried out pro rata. In the event of insolvency all claims above and beyond the bank guarantee have to reach the handling agent EUROPÄISCHE Reiseversicherung AG, 1220 Vienna, Kratochwjletrasse 4, Phone. +43/1/317 25 00, Fax: +43/1/319 93 67, within 8 weeks of insolvency date. Additionally RAD & REISEN takes part in an insurance fund according to § 8 RSV.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
The booking must be effected in written, per e-mail or internet and is binding upon forwarding the booking to us. A booking for individual customers travelling together cannot be handeld seperately. One participant has to assume responsibility for booking handling, down payment, final payment and receipt of booking confirmation as well as travel documents. A down payment of € 100,00 per person plus an optional insurance rate has to be paid upon booking, the final payment must reach our bank account free of charge at the earliest 14 days prior tour start. Travel documents will not be sent before receipt of the full amount. Please note that bank transfer may last up to 14 days! If the total amount is not received in time prior tour start a fee of € 25,00 has to be charged. As travel documents are sent by mail, RAD & REISEN - EUROCYCLE is not liable for timely arrival at the customer. Payment may also be effected by credit card.
CHANGES OF BOOKING
In case of booking change regarding number of participants, category, tour dates, transport or itinerary, a re-booking fee of € 50,-- per booking. Change of booking is only possible until 28 days prior tour-start. Change of the travel date within 28 days before original tour-start is only possible with full cancellation and rebooking according to cancellation fees - can be seen below.
CONTENT OF CONTRACT, INFORMATION AND OTHER SERVICES
The customer is liable by himself for the adherence to all regulations on travel documents and visa, customs regulations, exchange control legislation and sanity regulations valid at the time of travelling. Participation at ones own risk. Any participant is liable for the adherence to traffic regulations and has to be equal to the physical demands of the journey selected. Minors have to be accompanied by their parents or entitled adults. Reaching beyond his duties, the tour operator has to provide sufficient information on his services. CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation fees:
The following exceptional cancellation fees are applying for all bike & boat/bike & river cruise tours:
A NO-SHOW is in effect, if a client does not show for tour departure, is not willing to join tour departure or missed departure by his own fault. No refunds are possible for discontinuance of tour or for any services not utilised. We strongly recommend a travel and/or cancellation insurance.

Additional – Travel Constraints, Bike and Ship tour MS THEODOR KÖRNER
We reserve the right to augment the advertised and booking-confirmed prices in the case of increased operation expenses and taxes, including harbour and docking fees, increased fuel prices, as well as currency exchange rates as followed:
a. If the price increase is specific to one guest in a cabin, the price of that cabin may correspondingly increase.
b. In the case that the entire trip’s operating costs are increased, the costs will be shared and divided equally by each cabin, for the price of each cabin, and increases accordingly.
If our harbour and docking fees increase after the reservation has been done, we will increase the price of the trip accordingly, by the proportional amount.
A price increase will only occur if there are more than 4 months between the booking and the trip departure, and the increased expenses have not yet been taken into account, and were unforeseeable at the time of reservation.
In the case of retroactive price increase, we must immediately contact you. Prices will never be increased within 20 days before departure. If prices increase 5% or more, you have the option to cancel your booking free of charge or to change your booking to a trip of at least equal value, if we are in any position to do so.
We kindly ask to claim your, previously stated, rights concerning price increases immediately after being informed about them.
LIABILITY FOR LUGGAGE TRANSPORT AND CLIENT'S OWN BICYCLES
The daily luggage transport subjects any luggage to a greater deal of "wear and tear". We recommend the use of sturdy bags. Only one piece of luggage per person with a maximum weight of 20 kg can be transported. We are not responsible for minimal damage on handles and corners of the bag, caused by daily usage. For substantial damage or loss, the maximum insurance amount is € 360,00 per person.
The transport of client's own bicycle is at their own risk. We are not responsible for eventual damage that may occur. We strongly recommend a baggage and bicycle insurance.
BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Effective are the laws of the official "General Travel Conditions (ARB 1994)" in full together with the following amendments: Adaptation to the amendment to the Consumer's protection law BGBl. 247/93 Debated by the Consumer-political Counsel of the Federal Ministry of Health, Sports and Consumer's Protection according to § 73 Abs. 1 GewO 1994 and § 8 of the decree of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs in the text of 1994 regarding the performances of travel agencies.The complete text can be looked into in any Austrian travel agency or requested by the tour operator.
PROTECTION OF CLIENT'S PAYMENTS
Protection of client's payments is according to the guidelines of the European Union dated June 13, 1990 (90/314/EWG, article 2 Z1) - as well as the Austrian law of travel agent security decree (RSV) BGBl. II Nr. 16/1999. RAD & REISEN GmbH, Schickgasse 9, A-1220 Vienna, is registered under FN 103860K in the official company register, Commercial Court Vienna, DVR: 0648256. RAD & REISEN is registered under No. 1998/0074 in the register of tour operators at the Federal Ministry of Economy and Labour, Vienna. In the event of insolvency the tour packages organised by RAD & REISEN, are insured by a bank guarantee at RAIFFEISENLANDESBANK BURGENLAND, Raiffeisenstraße 1, A-7001 Eisenstadt under No. 70.042.023. This insurance is valid for services paid, but not rendered and for eventual costs of clients return to home base. According to § 7 Abs. 1/Z 4 RSV, the tour operator RAD & REISEN announces, that it accepts a down payment of maximum 20 % of tour price not earlier than 11 months before tour departure. Down payments and deposits taken earlier than 11 months prior the confirmed tour end and down payments and deposits exceeding the secured amounts are not covered by the travel agent security decree. Liability of RAIFFEISENLANDESBANK BURGENLAND against the costumer only covers an amount up to the payments in respect and is limited by the total sum insured. In case that the total sum insured does not cover all titles in full, claims will be carried out pro rata. In the event of insolvency all claims above and beyond the bank guarantee have to reach the handling agent EUROPÄISCHE Reiseversicherung AG, 1220 Vienna, Kratochwjletrasse 4, Phone. +43/1/317 25 00, Fax: +43/1/319 93 67, within 8 weeks of insolvency date. Additionally RAD & REISEN takes part in an insurance fund according to § 8 RSV.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
The booking must be effected in written, per e-mail or internet and is binding upon forwarding the booking to us. A booking for individual customers travelling together cannot be handeld seperately. One participant has to assume responsibility for booking handling, down payment, final payment and receipt of booking confirmation as well as travel documents. A down payment of € 100,00 per person plus an optional insurance rate has to be paid upon booking, the final payment must reach our bank account free of charge at the earliest 14 days prior tour start. Travel documents will not be sent before receipt of the full amount. Please note that bank transfer may last up to 14 days! If the total amount is not received in time prior tour start a fee of € 25,00 has to be charged. As travel documents are sent by mail, RAD & REISEN - EUROCYCLE is not liable for timely arrival at the customer. Payment may also be effected by credit card.
CHANGES OF BOOKING
In case of booking change regarding number of participants, category, tour dates, transport or itinerary, a re-booking fee of € 50,-- per booking. Change of booking is only possible until 28 days prior tour-start. Change of the travel date within 28 days before original tour-start is only possible with full cancellation and rebooking according to cancellation fees - can be seen below.
CONTENT OF CONTRACT, INFORMATION AND OTHER SERVICES
The customer is liable by himself for the adherence to all regulations on travel documents and visa, customs regulations, exchange control legislation and sanity regulations valid at the time of travelling. Participation at ones own risk. Any participant is liable for the adherence to traffic regulations and has to be equal to the physical demands of the journey selected. Minors have to be accompanied by their parents or entitled adults. Reaching beyond his duties, the tour operator has to provide sufficient information on his services.
