| End city: | Vienna, Austria |

Prague, Vienna and Budapest are the most important centres of the former Habsburg Danube Monarchy. Most of the pompous buildings of those days survived the two World Wars. And this is not the only reason why these three cities are among Europe’s most attractive tourist destinations. Our tour connects these famous cities. We start the tour in Dresden, a very nice and old city indeed. The rivers Elbe, Vltava and Danube accompany us on the way to Budapest, as do the low mountain range of the Saxon and Bohemia, Kokorinško and the “Boehmerwald” (Bohemian forest).
The tour company transports the luggage in their backup bus. It can also give you a lift if you are in trouble. The guide will wait for us at several stations of our trips and he will provide us with beverages and refreshments. They will also give you useful information regarding your route and the sights you pass. Please note that there are ride-along guides only when there are more than 8 participants for the guided tour.

Day 1: Dresden
Individual journey to Dresden. Welcome and informal meeting with the tour guide and group. Sightseeing in Dresden is not a part of this tour, if you like to visit Dresden, we recommend to book an additional night in Dresden prior to the tour.
Day 2: Dresden – Rynartice (Level 1: 44 miles/71 km or Level 2: 47 miles/75 km)
Today we mostly ride on the bike path alongside the Elbe river. On our way, we pass the palace of Pillnitz, a representative building from the times of King August II The Strong. Behind the Czech border, we leave the Elbe river to enter into the nicest part of the “Bohemian Switzerland” and arrive in Rynartice.
Overnight in Rynartice.
Day 3: Rynartice – Prague (Level 1: 49 miles/79 km or Level 2: 59 miles/94 km)
We ride southwards on a scenic route and visit a beautiful baroque church. Afterwards we enter the Kokorinsko area with its bizarre sandstone formations. We stop at the castle Kokorin and arrive in Melnik where the rivers Elbe and Vltava join. Not far from Melnik, we take the train to Prague.
Overnight in Prague.
Day 4: City tour Prague
We do a sightseeing tour by bike, a very exciting way to get to know one of Europe’s nicest cities. We ride through the “Kleinseite” and up to the legendary Hradschin, the world’s largest castle (approx. 25 km/16 miles altogether). Parking our bikes in the center of the town we have the time to explore Prague’s Old Town by foot.
Overnight in Prague.
Day 5: Prague - Zvikov (Level 1: 53 miles/84 km or Level 2: 59 miles/94 km)
We leave Prague by train. Our bike route along the river Vltava leads across a quite hilly area. At the reservoir of Orlik we visit the Palace Orlik and the castle in Zvikov.
Overnight in Zvikov.
Day 6: Zvikov – Budweis (49 miles/78 km)
This day offers a perfect bike route close to the river Vltava. Suddenly the palace of Hluboka seems to appear right out of a fairy tale. A beautiful place worth resting for a while. Afterwards, we ride along the banks of the river Vltava to Ceske Budejowice/Budweis. This city is basically known for its beer. What is less known is Budweis' magnificent Old Town. The visit of the Budweis brewery is a must and, of course, we will taste the beer.
Overnight in Budwels.
Day 7: Budweis – Krumau – Harbach (Level 1: 46 miles/73 km or Level 2: 54 miles/87 km)
In the south of Bohemia the town of Cesky Krumlov/Krumau is a centre of attraction for tourists. As a World Heritage Site, the city still has many historical buildings. After our visit, we leave Krumlov and head towards the heights of the “Böhmerwald” (Bohemian forest). On calm but hilly paths, we cross Austria’s border and arrive in Harbach.
Overnight in Harbach.
Day 8: Lipno Lake - Cesky Krumlov (Level 1: 42 miles/67km Level 2: 61 miles/99 km)
Today we ride to Cesky Krumlov. We offer a tour around the lake and continue on through the Vltava. There’s an option for an exciting rafting trip on the Vltava! The afternoon is spent touring Cesky Krumlov. The city is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Overnight in Cesky Krumlov.
Day 9: Cesky Krumlov – Weitra (Level 1: 41 miles/66km Level 2: 41 miles/66 km)

Overnight in Weitra.
Day 10: Weitra – Krems (Level 1: 45 miles/73km Level 2: 59 miles/95 km)
The forest area is a very beautiful and little-known part of the Alpine republic, which has an excellent network of bicycle paths. We cycle through the historic old town of Weitra and roll along the river Krems.
Overnight in Krems.
Day 11: Krems – Vienna (Level 1: 51 miles/82km Level 2: 50 miles/81 km)
Leaving the forest, we ride on to a change of scenery- the city of Vienna.

Germany's fairytale castles, romantic villages and bustling cities are surrounded by a wealth of pristine natural landscapes. Only a unified nation since 1990, Germany now boasts Europe's largest economy and second most populous nation. Within its unified boundaries, Germany remains a nation of diversity. Northern Germany’s coastal terrain along the Baltic Sea includes Hamburg, a harbor city of canals and waterways. Southern Germany's Bavaria region, known as "the green roof of Germany," features snow-tipped Alps, the Black Forest, Neuschwanstein Castle and the historic, picturesque city of Munich. Cruise the Rhine River through the western regions and visit Cologne's famous Gothic Cathedral built in 1248. Experience the arts, fashion and music in the capital, Berlin, and see the revitalized city of Dresden destroyed during World War II.
