With your bicycle and the boat Bahriyeli, a comfortable 3 mast sailor, you will explore Rhodes and its neighboring islands. Let yourself be mesmerized by the lively yet contemplative Rhodes, the towering volcano crater of Nissyros or the charm of Symi with its wonderful neo-classical buildings of the island capital.

Day 1: Arrival to Marmaris (Embarkation)
Individual arrival at the Turkish airports Izmir, Bodrum or Dalaman. Transfer to the embarkation port and check in starting at 2 p.m. We can use our time to take a stroll across the bazaar or enjoy a delicious Turkish tea. Afterwards, we have the first dinner on board.
Day 2: Island Symi (6 miles/10 km)
Our first boat passage with the Bahriyeli brings us to Symi. The entrance to the port is an unforgettable impression of your journey: neo-classical, pastel colored houses emboss the picture of the island capital and refer to the rich history of the island. We have the opportunity to try our bicycles and take a swim in the Aegean sea during a small cycle tour to a beach. In the early evening, a tour guide walk with us to the upper town of Symi where we have to climb 500 steps. A breathtaking view to the port and its deep indented bay reward this climb - with some luck we can experience an unforgettable sunset.
Day 3: Island Symi (16 miles/25 km)
In the morning, we get started to reach the other side of the island. On a winding road, we slowly crest the mountain while having lots of time to enjoy the many beautiful panoramic views. The final destination is the bay of Panormitis. Its same named monastery of the archangel Michael invites for a visit. If weather conditions are fine, the boat takes us in the afternoon to the volcano island of Nissyros.
Day 4: Island Nissyros – Island Chalki (19 miles/30 km)
Today's cycle tour on Nissyros guides us to Nikia, which is a village directly built at the edge of the crater in 1,400 ft. high. From here we can enjoy a fascinating view into the volcano crater. Not only the volcano, but also the white houses and the numerous mosaics made pebble will truly amaze us. When we arrive at the village square we should not miss a chance to try a Greek coffee. From here, we cycle on to the crater with its steaming sulphur springs and finally back to the small port town of Mandraki – its charm has attracted visitors for centuries. In the afternoon, the Bahriyeli moves on to Chalki where we can relax and enjoy the rest of the evening with the idyll of a real Greek fishing port.
Day 5: Island Rhodes, Plimiri - Lindos (22 miles/35 km)
The morning will be spent on board during the cross over from Plimiri to the Island of Rhodes. From here, we cycle close to the coast on roads with light traffic. During a break in a café directly on the sea we might see the Bahriyeli passing and awaiting us later on in Lindos. This village is one of the most beautiful ones on Greece. After the last ascent, we can enjoy an unforgettable view to this small town with its cubic houses and narrow alleys - overtopped by its mightful acropolis.
Day 6: Island Rhodos, Lindos - Kolymbia- Rhodes town (23 miles/37 km)
Today, our tour leads us from Lindos into the fertile, agricultural used hinterland of Rhodes. We cycle through old olive tree groves on small side roads on to Archangelos where a typical Greek tavern invites for lunch. Our boat awaits us at the end of an impressing eucalyptus alley in the tiny port of Kolymbia to bring us to Rhodes town. The rest of the afternoon we can stroll through the fantastic medieval old town.
Day 7: Island Rhodes, Rhodes town - Marmaris (6 miles/10 km; 2 hours by foot)
After breakfast, we go on a discovery tour by bicycle and by foot. We will be guided through the 2,400 years old history of the islands capital. The deer and the doe at the entrance of the Mandraki port offer a first photo theme. Maybe this was the place where ones upon a time the Colossus of Rhodes was placed? Further on we pass the moat of the crusader town and its imposing walls. They still glamorize Rhodes with a distinctive character. A stroll through the countless alleys with its many impressive buildings is an unforgettable experience. Afterwards, the Bahriyeli cruises over to Marmaris - again some time is offered to stroll along the bazaar or visit a typical Turkish hammam. The last evening aboard takes place traditionally and includes the communal dinner and a last get-together in a cozy atmosphere with crew and tour guides.
Day 8: Marmaris (Disembarkation)
Disembarkation after breakfast and transfer to the airport; or extension of your holiday in the Turkish or Greek Aegean sea.

Bahriyeli
On the Turkish coast, a Bahriyeli is a synonym for greatest possible comfort and best material. These ships are powered by two Volvo Penta engines with 400-500 HP which enables them to maneuver without difficulties and lie calmly in the water. The decks of the ships are 108-121 ft. long. They are three-masted ships of highest standards.
The Bahriyelis A-D have 8-10 spacious and luxurious cabins, furnished with air conditioning and a shower/toilet. The huge sun deck is equipped with comfortable mats for sun bathing or spending the nights outside.
Cabins
6 cabins below deck and 4 cabins above deck are at the guests' disposal. All cabins are air conditioned and most of them are equipped with a French bed, one single bed and private shower and toilet. The cabins are furnished in a comfortable yet practical manner and are equipped with one bunk bed on top of another, a small wardrobe, an air conditioning unit and a porthole. They allow enough room to sleep in and to store the luggage in. Every cabin has its own shower/toilet.
Due to the shape of the ship's hull, the cabins vary in size. No price differentiation is made in regard to the size or the location of the cabins. The beds will be made before you arrive. You should definitely bring your own towels for the beach (even though a small and large cabin towel will be issued to you).
Electricity and water on board
Electricity and water are of course provided on board, but not in unlimited amounts. The water tanks are filled according to the number of people on board, so that there’s enough water available for washing and showers, even if the tanks cannot be refilled for several days. This presupposes that all passengers use this valuable resource sparingly. The ships also use a central heater for the showers, but this also means that there’s only enough warm water if people only use the showers for as long as is really necessary (for example: turn off the water while soaping up).
The boat uses a 220 V generator which isn't run constantly - amongst other reasons, in order to keep thing quiet at night. The power supply on board is accessible with Euro-wall-sockets (as customary in Germany). Guests from countries with different socket systems are kindly requested to bring their own appropriate adaptors.
Air conditioning
Most of the ships have air conditioning in the saloon as well as in the cabins. Usually they will work while the generator is running (during taxi) or while connected to onshore power supply. If there is no power supply available during nights air conditioning will stay switched off.
Sleeping on deck
Many guests feel that spending a night outside in the fresh air is a unique experience. There is enough space on the deck for that purpose. However, you should bring your own sleeping bag and an insulated mat as it is not permitted to take the mattresses and sheets out of the cabins.
Catering on board
Meals included in the price of the tour consist of full-board. The food served on board is typically Mediterranean and higher nutritional demands of bikers are taken into account. Breakfast on board generally includes at least bread, butter, cheese, ham, coffee and tea. For lunch, the chef generally serves light fish dishes or vegetarian meals. For dinner, there are usually fish or meat dishes.
Beverages
The saloon on the ship is a restaurant, lounge, and bar all in one. Here you can always get cool drinks – with or without alcohol. Generally, the crew keeps track of your drinks in a list that is tallied up for payment at the end of the trip. Naturally, the drinks on board are slightly more expensive than in the supermarket around the corner, but after all, you are in a small "floating restaurant." Just as in every bar or restaurant it is not allowed to bring your own drinks on board.

All the bicycles have a fender, a kickstand, a rack, and a quick release seat. We provide a waterproof saddlebag from Ortlieb for everybody.

You will also come across some longer and rather steep climbs where pushing your bike is of course permitted. The roads are mostly asphalted and usually there is little traffic.
The tour guides will inform you about the course of the tour in due time. You can always choose to skip a bike tour and spend the time sunbathing on the ship instead. You can also decide each day for yourself whether you would like to cycle individually using the maps provided or join one of the tour-guides.
We generally believe that only children with a lot of cycling experience and in a good physical condition aged 10 years and older are able to master the bike tours with their own. Furthermore, we offer bicycle rental only for people of 5 ft. height or more. For smaller children, bicycle seats are limited available (reservation required).
This tour is rated Moderate and is for cyclists in good physical condition.

Archaeological remnants of the ancient Greek civilization include Delphi's Temple of Apollo, the Acropolis in Athens with its renowned Parthenon Temple and Olympia's Temple of Zeus, where the Olympic games were held every four years. Trips to these sites also provide an opportunity to visit Greece’s 200 state museums and 107 private museums. Most notable is the Archaeological Museum of Olympia and the new Acropolis Museum that houses over 4,000 finds from the Acropolis.

The Greek isles share an ideal climate with crystal clear waters, but feature highly diverse coastal areas ranging from sandy and rocky beaches to sheltered coves to coastal wetlands. These terms and conditions, which you agree to by booking your trip, govern the contractual relationship between you as traveler and us as tour operator. The terms and conditions supplement Paragraph 651 and those following in the German BGB (Buergerliches Gesetzbuch) that govern travel contract law. Please read all the following terms and conditions carefully.Trip CancellationIf the minimum number of participants required for a trip is not met (18 participants for bus and boat trips, unless otherwise noted), we reserve the right to cancel it. The decision about whether the trip will take place or not will be made as early as possible, three weeks before the beginning of the trip at the latest. In case of trip cancellation, all payments you have made will be fully refunded. There can be no additional claims made against us. As the tour operator, we have the right to cancel the tour if the trip is jeopardized, made difficult, or impaired due to an act of God.
Cancellation and Changes in Reservations by Customers
(Different conditions apply for flight bookings through Radurlaub Zeitreisen GmbH)You can withdraw from the travel contract up until the beginning of the trip. Your cancellation is valid when your written notification reaches us. If you cancel before the 60th day before the start of the trip, we will refund the amount paid so far, minus a cancellation handling fee.
Our cancellation fees are:
If you cancel on the day of the trip or if you do not appear for the start of the trip, we charge the full trip price.
If you miss the start of the trip or are prevented from traveling due to incomplete travel documents, this will be considered as a cancellation.
Reservation changes are handled the same way as cancellations. For changing your reservation, we will charge 50 € changing fee for changes made 28 days or more before the beginning of the trip. Any later changes (if possible) will need to be handled as a cancellation and new registration. Cancellation and reservation change fees are due immediately.
Services
The foundation upon which the trip is organized is the description of the services, which is available in the brochure, in official pamphlets and on our website, and confirmed in your travel contract. Alterations that become necessary after the finalization of the contract and that are made in good faith are permitted if they are not substantial, and do not change the overall character of the trip. We assume no liability for information in the brochures of our partners or in our own brochure, even if we issued them.
Liability
We are liable within the scope of a merchant’s duty of care for diligent trip preparation, careful selection and supervision of participating agencies, accuracy of service and activity descriptions, and standard provision of the services agreed upon. Our liability for damages other than personal injury is limited to three times the cost of the trip, provided the damages are neither intentional nor due to gross negligence. This limitation is still in effect if we are responsible for the damage due to the fault of a service provider. If we are solely procurers of foreign services, we are liable only for proper procurement, not for the services.We are liable for damage or loss of luggage up to the amount of 250 € only if the damage was caused by us and was indicated to us immediately. Scratches on luggage, torn luggage handles, and damaged wheels are excluded from any liability. Upon delivery of luggage at the accommodation facilities, the liability is transferred according to § 701 BGB to the officer of the accommodations. Services that were not made use of will not be reimbursed.
Participation
A vacation that involves exercise and physical activity requires greater commitment than a conventional package tour. It is your duty to make certain that you are up to the physical challenges of such a trip. The pre-condition for a bike-tour is that you are able to handle a bicycle in street traffic and on unpaved paths under any weather conditions. If you rent a bike, it is your responsibility to check the condition of the bike, particularly the brakes. You bear sole responsibility for adhering to all legal regulations at home and abroad, particularly regulations about travel documents and cross-border trade. When traveling across the exterior borders of the EU, your luggage must remain unlocked, to facilitate passage through customs. If your baggage is searched, you will be notified about it upon arrival at the destination. If problems with the procurement of the services occur, you are required to help within the scope of legal regulations, in order to avoid potential damages or keep them at a minimum and report any complaints to us immediately.
Duty of Care
During the duration of the trip, you are liable for damage to or loss of bicycles and any equipment entrusted to you. For guided tours, this is only valid if you have separated yourself from the group, have disobeyed instructions from the tour guides, or caused the damage or loss intentionally, through negligence or gross negligence.
Warranty
You can demand redress if the trip services are not rendered according to the contract. This can be solved by us providing compensation of equal or greater value. In the case of disproportionate effort, corrective action can be denied. For the period in which the services that have not been rendered according to contract, you can request a reduction in travel price after your return. The pre-condition for this is the immediate notification of our deficiencies or those of our tour guides, so that we have the opportunity to find a remedy. Tour guides are not authorized to recognize claims. These terms and conditions, which you agree to by booking your trip, govern the contractual relationship between you as traveler and us as tour operator. The terms and conditions supplement Paragraph 651 and those following in the German BGB (Buergerliches Gesetzbuch) that govern travel contract law. Please read all the following terms and conditions carefully.Trip CancellationIf the minimum number of participants required for a trip is not met (18 participants for bus and boat trips, unless otherwise noted), we reserve the right to cancel it. The decision about whether the trip will take place or not will be made as early as possible, three weeks before the beginning of the trip at the latest. In case of trip cancellation, all payments you have made will be fully refunded. There can be no additional claims made against us. As the tour operator, we have the right to cancel the tour if the trip is jeopardized, made difficult, or impaired due to an act of God.
Cancellation and Changes in Reservations by Customers
(Different conditions apply for flight bookings through Radurlaub Zeitreisen GmbH)You can withdraw from the travel contract up until the beginning of the trip. Your cancellation is valid when your written notification reaches us. If you cancel before the 60th day before the start of the trip, we will refund the amount paid so far, minus a cancellation handling fee.

If you cancel on the day of the trip or if you do not appear for the start of the trip, we charge the full trip price.
If you miss the start of the trip or are prevented from traveling due to incomplete travel documents, this will be considered as a cancellation.
Reservation changes are handled the same way as cancellations. For changing your reservation, we will charge 50 € changing fee for changes made 28 days or more before the beginning of the trip. Any later changes (if possible) will need to be handled as a cancellation and new registration. Cancellation and reservation change fees are due immediately.
Services
The foundation upon which the trip is organized is the description of the services, which is available in the brochure, in official pamphlets and on our website, and confirmed in your travel contract. Alterations that become necessary after the finalization of the contract and that are made in good faith are permitted if they are not substantial, and do not change the overall character of the trip. We assume no liability for information in the brochures of our partners or in our own brochure, even if we issued them.
Liability
We are liable within the scope of a merchant’s duty of care for diligent trip preparation, careful selection and supervision of participating agencies, accuracy of service and activity descriptions, and standard provision of the services agreed upon. Our liability for damages other than personal injury is limited to three times the cost of the trip, provided the damages are neither intentional nor due to gross negligence. This limitation is still in effect if we are responsible for the damage due to the fault of a service provider. If we are solely procurers of foreign services, we are liable only for proper procurement, not for the services.We are liable for damage or loss of luggage up to the amount of 250 € only if the damage was caused by us and was indicated to us immediately. Scratches on luggage, torn luggage handles, and damaged wheels are excluded from any liability. Upon delivery of luggage at the accommodation facilities, the liability is transferred according to § 701 BGB to the officer of the accommodations. Services that were not made use of will not be reimbursed.
Participation
A vacation that involves exercise and physical activity requires greater commitment than a conventional package tour. It is your duty to make certain that you are up to the physical challenges of such a trip. The pre-condition for a bike-tour is that you are able to handle a bicycle in street traffic and on unpaved paths under any weather conditions. If you rent a bike, it is your responsibility to check the condition of the bike, particularly the brakes. You bear sole responsibility for adhering to all legal regulations at home and abroad, particularly regulations about travel documents and cross-border trade. When traveling across the exterior borders of the EU, your luggage must remain unlocked, to facilitate passage through customs. If your baggage is searched, you will be notified about it upon arrival at the destination. If problems with the procurement of the services occur, you are required to help within the scope of legal regulations, in order to avoid potential damages or keep them at a minimum and report any complaints to us immediately.
Duty of Care
During the duration of the trip, you are liable for damage to or loss of bicycles and any equipment entrusted to you. For guided tours, this is only valid if you have separated yourself from the group, have disobeyed instructions from the tour guides, or caused the damage or loss intentionally, through negligence or gross negligence.
Warranty
You can demand redress if the trip services are not rendered according to the contract. This can be solved by us providing compensation of equal or greater value. In the case of disproportionate effort, corrective action can be denied. For the period in which the services that have not been rendered according to contract, you can request a reduction in travel price after your return. The pre-condition for this is the immediate notification of our deficiencies or those of our tour guides, so that we have the opportunity to find a remedy. Tour guides are not authorized to recognize claims.
