Day 1: Arrival
Arrival at Lisbon airport and transfer to Sesimbra. Get refreshed from your journey and relax at this 5 star hotel on the ocean front. General briefing on the tour followed by a fantastic dinner at this traditional Portuguese fishing village.
Overnight in Sesimbra.
Day 2: Sesimbra - Setubal/Troia (20 miles/32 km)
At breakfast you will receive general information about day 2. It’s then time to get on your bike and pedal to TroÌia. We will leave Sesimbra along the 200 million year old ArraÌbida Natural Park, where after a thrilling downhill we will have lunch in a remote sumptuous beach, arrive at the city of SetuÌbal where to visit the emblematic market and the 15th Century Church of Jesus. We will then take the ferry to the TroÌia Peninsula – an enormous strip of golden sand, with miles of wonderful deserted beaches, vast stretches of dunes and a pine forest. Relax in the design luxury hotel that we’ve chosen for you.
Overnight in Troiia.
Day 3: Troia - Melides (30 miles/50 km)
At breakfast you will receive general information about day 3. The day begins as you hop on your bikes and leave TroÌia through the dunes and pine forest, with a stop-over at the Romans ruins - the largest salted fish production complex known in the occidental part of the Roman Empire. When reaching Comporta we will visit the 30 hectares (74 acres) of vineyards, situated in a valley of sandy soil, slightly over sea level in the middle of a nature reserve. Following this visit we will go down to the cellars and taste one of the finest Alentejo wines. On the way to the medieval city of Santiago do CaceÌm passing through lovely landscapes you will marvel at the scenic splendour of the ocean touching the shore, majestically blending the blue of the sea and the green of the landscape. We will stop off for lunch along one of the pristine Blue Coast beaches. At the end of the day, a unique design hotel, with overwhelming views to the medieval city, will be awaiting us.

Day 4: Santiago do Cacem - Ribeira da Azenha (20 miles/32 km)
At breakfast you will receive general information on day 4. Leaving Santiago do CaceÌm, we will start our journey with a smooth and breezy downhill dash into the cork trees woods of Alentejo, to enter the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. Here you will discover a genuine seventh heaven made up of almost only deserted beaches, cliffs and crags amidst exceptionally rich biodiversity and unique geological heritage. Among the 750 plants and 200 species of birds that have been identified throughout the area of the Natural Park there are a few worth mentioning like the White Stork, Bonelli’s Eagle, Peregrine Falcon or the felines such as the Fox or the Iberian Linx. We will be spending the night at this true masterpiece of Nature, in an extraordinary and welcoming cotton white decorated country house, surrounded by the Ecological Reserve.
