Starting in the northeast Dolomites, the first part of the tour follows the River Drau through the same-named valley, and then on through the Gail Valley on comfortable bike paths in Austria. After a short detour to the Italian border town of Tarvis, you continue on to Slovenia.
The picturesque Lake Bled at the foot of the Julian Alps is ideal for rest before the transfer to the south side of the Alps to the famous wine area of Collio in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The former capital town of Lombard region, Cividale is well worth a visit. The final stage of the tour takes you through spectacular countryside to the Adria coast. On the last day you ride alongside the sea to the former Habsburg port of Trieste.

Day 1: Individual arrival in Alta Pusteria (Toblach/Niederdorf)
Arrive at the hotel in the Alta Pusteria. Car park in close proximity to the hotel is available.

Day 2: Alta Pusteria – Oberdrauburg (40 miles/65 km)
Starting at the watershed of the rivers Drau and Rienz on the Toblacher Sattel, you ride alongside the Drau through South Tyrol and on to East Tyrol and the town of Lienz. The impressive mountains of the Dolomites line the route. Please note that today's route is only downhill.
Overnight in Oberdrauburg.
Day 3: Oberdrauburg – Feistritz (34 miles/55 km)
After a short transfer to the Gailberg Pass (350 m difference in altitude / 5 km) you then descend to Kötschach-Mauthen. On the bike path of the Gail Valley you cycle comfortable past Hermagor. Before you reach Feistritz Lake Pressegg will invite all connoisseurs to a relaxing break.

Day 4: Feistritz – Bled (40 miles/65 km)
Along your way you reach the Italian border and then carry on the cycle path. Now you leave Italy and travel on to Slovenia, past the famous ski area of Kranjska Gora, the bike path passes through the wonderful, and mostly unknown, countryside of Slovenia. You spend the night at the romantic Lake Bled. Today's route has one hill that can be difficult, but is short. You may need to push your bike for about a 10 minute walk if you find it challenging.

Day 5: Bled – Cividale (31 miles/50 km)
After the transfer over the pass, you encounter the Soca Valley, which is well known to all canoeists and adventure sportsmen. In Kobarid you will get an inside into the battles of the 1st World War. In the evening you taste the excellent cuisine and the wonderful wines of this region. The historical town of Cividale with its many cultures is well worth taking a closer look at.

Day 6: Civicale - (Udine) – Gradisca (24-50 miles/40-80 km, depending on the route you choose)
On the way through the Collio Goriziano, centre of the Friuli wine growing region, there are many wine cellars to stop at and taste the excellent wines. After tackling a few hills, you come to Gradisca, where you pass the evening.There is a possibility to choose a longer variant passing at Udine, probably the most important town in the Friuli region, which is well worth a substantial visit.

Day 7: Gradisca – Trieste (24 miles/40 km)
The Karst accompanies you on your way to the Adriatic coast, and before you get to the former Habsburg port of Trieste, it is well worth stopping to look at Castle Miramare. Today's route has 1 short uphill (about 328 ft/100m difference in altitude).

Day 8: Individual departure or extension of your stay

All rental bikes are 21-gear hybrid touring bikes especially built for our tours (ladies or men frame). A limited number of 7-gear bikes with back pedalling brakes (only unisex bikes) is available on request for some tours. A team member will hand over the bikes at the starting hotel.
All bikes come with a saddlebag. In addition you will receive, for each booked room, one handlebar bag, a bicycle computer, a lock, one air pump, inner tubes and a tool kit.
Electrically assisted bikes (limited availability) are available on request.

If there are no extra conditions included in the booking, then the general regulations apply. All prices are in Euro or in the additional currency and include VAT and all other taxes. Extra conditions and changes in the booking must be confirmed in writing by FUNACTIVE Tours GmbH.
Invoice
The invoice will be issued excluding your provision. Payment will be made before client’s arrival on receipt of the invoice to the bank account given to you.

Client withdrawal / Substitute client / Booking change
Withdrawal: Before the start of the tour the client can withdraw from the contract at any time. The client has to confirm the withdrawal in writing. In the case of a withdrawal or no show, the following charges will be charged to the client:
Up to 28 days before tour start: 20% of tour cost From the 27th to the 14th day before tour start: 30% of tour cost From the 13th day to 8th day before tour start: 50% of tour cost
From the 7th day to 4th day before tour start: 70% of tour cost From the 3th day before tour start or no show: 90 % of tour cost Early departure from already started bike tour / hiking tour / cross country ski tour: 100% of tour cost FUNACTIVE Tours GmbH recommends taking out travel insurance.
Substitute Client: Each client can nominate a third person to take their place if this is done at least three days before tour begin. FUNACTIVE TOURS GmbH can refuse this person if there are important reasons. If a third party takes over this does not affect the original contract and the original withdrawal clauses apply. A fee of € 50,00 is charged for changing the name of the client.
Booking Change: Changes in the booking regarding number of rooms, type of hotel and catering (if available) are allowed up to 28 days before tour start. A fee of € 50,00 will be charged for each alteration. After this the condition of cancellation are available. Such a booking change can take place only in accordance with the possibilities of individual cases;the customer has no claim. A booking change by customer to another tour is only possible in the form of a cancellation (according to the conditions of cancellation) and subsequent new booking.
Reduction for children in a room with parents
Reduction for children to the 4th birthday, with breakfast (consumption extra): 100% Reduction for children from 4 years to their 11th birthday, with breakfast: 50% Reduction for children from 11 years to their 14th birthday, with breakfast: 25% Reduction for additional beds in double rooms for children over 14 years of age and adults: 15%
A reduction in cost applies for a third and fourth bed in a room for both adults and children when sharing with two full paying adults. The reduction only applies to the package price on offer which includes breakfast and cannot be used in conjunction with any additional services.
Half board can be booked for children from the age of 4 (for those trips where the possibility of a reservation for half board exists). Dinner and other consumables required by children under the age of 4 can be ordered and paid for directly at the location.
General
Changes in prices and performance are at our discretion as well as minimal changes in the routes if necessary. You will naturally be informed of any changes immediately. Our prices are minimal prices and cannot be reduced. Legal seat is Bozen.

Approximately 30 days before the start of the tour guests will receive general information of the tour and how to get there as well a hotel list by e mail. Detailed information (voucher, luggage labels, route description, maps etc) will be handed out to the guest at their arrival at the reception of the first hotel.
Our information is usually in German. For some of the tours we also have information in other languages. Consult the single offers for detailed information about the available language.
Information talk
For almost all tours we offer our guests the possibility to take part in our information talk on arrival day in the evening or in the next morning. One of FUNACTIVE Tours Gmbh employees will provide the guests with all the necessary information about the route and answer any questions.
Subsequently the guest will also receive any articles he has booked (rental bikes etc).
Telephone Service Hotline
We offer our guests a service hotline from 8.30 a.m. – 7.00 p.m. during the whole tour. A FUNACTIVE Tours GmbH employee who speaks German, Italian and English is there to help with any problems or to answer any questions.
