Day 1: Arrival
Individual arrival to the airports of Izmir, Bodrum or Dalaman and group transfer to Marmaris. Check in on board from 2 p.m. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a stroll through the city's labyrinth of winding streets and if you want, you can also visit the famous bazaar. The trip starts with dinner on board.
Day 2: Marmaris – Sarsala (22 miles/35 km)
Ship ahoy! A two-hour cruise brings us to a picturesque swimming bay. From here, we cycle over a 850 ft. high pass before we reach the plain of Dalaman. Today's destination is Sarsala, a quiet bay, where we stay overnight.
Day 3: Sarsala – Kayaköy – Fethiye (19 miles/30 km)
After breakfast, we sail to Fethiye, passing many small islands on the way. We cycle through a pine forest until we reach the since 1922 uninhabited Greek city of Kayaköy, which was once home to some 6,500 inhabitants. On foot, we discover the ruins of Kayaköy and afterwards our bike tour leads us to Fethiye. Here is still enough time to go on a worthwhile walk through the lively town. Visit the old town with its narrow alleys and typical corner houses as well as the Lykian tombs high above the city – for instance, the gorgeous rock cut temple tomb of Amyntas – are worth seeing.
Day 4: Fethiye – Saklikent Canyon – Göcek (25 miles/40 km)
A bus transfers us to Xanthos, the starting point of today’s cycling tour. From here we bike to the Saklikent Canyon, where we can enjoy lunch at the river bank. In Turkish "Saklikent" means "Hidden City." The canyon is spectacular and can be easily explored on foot. Afterwards we continue our cycling northwards to Kemer, where we are picked up by a bus and transported to the boat in Fethiye. From here, the Bahriyeli takes us to Göcek, where we spend the night.
Day 5: Göcek – Dalyan (25 miles/40 km)
From Göcek – due to its important marina it is one of the most significant places of tourism along the Turkish south coast – we bike over a 1,150 ft. high pass, enjoying panoramic views. Afterwards, we cross a pine forest before we cycle along a quiet minor road down to the Dalaman plain, through fertile fields and lush vegetation to Dalyan. From here a small boat takes us down the river – passing the impressive Lykian rock cut tombs of Dalyan – to the Bahriyeli, where we stay overnight.
Day 6: Kaunos – Ekincik (19 miles/30 km)
In the morning, once more a small boat picks us up and takes us to the ancient city Kaunos which is worth a visit before we cycle along the Köycegiz lake until we reach the thermal baths that invite us to a healing bath. After a 1,150 ft. climb we arrive at the little village of Ekincik, where we spend the night.
Day 7: Ekincik – Marmaris (34 miles/55 km)
After a two-hour crossing, we arrive at the Bozborun Peninsula. On our last bike ride, we take a lonely mountain road in order to get to a cute mountain village with its 1,500 year old trees. After a spectacular descent down to Icmeler's coastal road, our cycling tour finally leads us to Marmaris, where the boat already awaits us with a delicious dinner. The last evening aboard takes place traditionally and includes the communal dinner and a last get-together in a cozy atmosphere with crew and tour guides.
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, checkout and group transfer to the airport and individual return home or extended stay in Turkey.

Our boats in Turkey are wooden three-masted motor-powered sailing yachts. They are not luxury steamers, but motor-powered sailing yachts with their own charm. If, for whatever reason, one of the ships we chartered was to fall out of action, the tour operator will arrange a worthy replacement and will duly inform the participants about this change. You will find the name of your ship on your booking confirmation.
Please be aware that the captains may have completed some additional alterations to their ship over the winter, so that the following descriptions may no longer be completely accurate.
Some of our boats are equipped with sails. They are an impressive adornment recalling old tradition. Sailing is a unique experience for many guests. If weather conditions are good, the captains may hoist the sails once a week. However, sailing is slow and in order to make quick progress the captain will usually rely on the engine.
Bahriveli ship
Bahriyelis A, B, C and D - these four nearly identically constructed ships are three-masted motor sailing ships of the highest category. On the Turkish South Coast, they are considered synonymous with highest possible comfort, best quality and maximum elegance.
With their three masts, these proud ships are real eye-catchers in each harbor. Stepping onto one of the Bahriyelis for the first time, you will definitely be surprised by the size and superior furnishings: The spacious saloon and the equally roomy cabins are decorated with beautiful, handmade rugs in traditional Oriental patterns.
At mealtimes, the crew spoils their guests at sumptuously laid tables with delicious and artistically garnished dishes from the particularly varied Turkish cuisine. And thus, it is not surprising that every body is delighted when the ship's bell announces the next meal.
Cabins
8-12 spacious cabins are at the guest's disposal. All cabins are air conditioned and are equipped with a French bed or two separate beds and private shower and toilet.
The cabins are furnished in a comfortable yet practical manner and are equipped with one bunk bed on top of another, a small wardrobe, an air conditioning unit and a porthole. They allow enough room to sleep in and to store the luggage in. Every cabin has its own shower/toilet.
Due to the shape of the ship’s hull the cabins vary in size. Price differentiations are only made with the respect to "below deck' and "above deck" cabins. Cabin allotments are the responsibility of the tour operator and cannot be influenced by guests or tour guides on site. The beds will be made before you arrive. You should definitely bring your own towels for the beach (even though a small and large cabin towel will be issued to you).
Air conditioning
Most of the ships have air conditioning in the saloon as well as in the cabins. Usually, they will work while the generator is running (during taxi) or while connected to onshore power supply. If there is no power supply available during nights air conditioning will stay switched off.
Cabin service
There is a daily cabin service on board which takes place during the bicycle tours. It includes the cleaning of floor and bath as well as the bedding. The towels will be changed once in the middle of the week.
Electricity and water on board
Electricity and water are of course provided on board, but not in unlimited amounts. The water tanks are filled according to the number of people on board, so that there’s enough water available for washing and showers, even if the tanks cannot be refilled for several days. This presupposes that all passengers use this valuable resource sparingly. The ships also use a central heater for the showers, but this also means that there’s only enough warm water if people only use the showers for as long as is really necessary (for example: turn off the water while soaping up).
The boat uses a 220 V generator which isn't run constantly - amongst other reasons in order to keep thing quiet at night. The power supply on board is accessible with Euro-wall-sockets (as customary in Germany). Guests from Switzerland and other countries with different socket systems are kindly requested to bring their own appropriate adaptors.
Shoes on board
Please bring a pair of shoes with you that you wear only on board in order to avoid damage to the teak wood decks. Your street shoes can be left in a shoe cupboard or basket at the entrance of the ship.
Sleeping on deck
Many guests feel that spending a night outside in the fresh air is a unique experience. There is enough space on the deck for that purpose. You should bring your own sleeping bag and an insulated mat with you as it is not permitted to take the mattresses and sheets out of the cabins.
Catering on board
Meals included in the price of the tour consist of half-board. As a rule, you are offered breakfast and lunch or dinner on board. If so requested, lunch can consist of a boxed lunch or a picnic. In some evenings you can dine individually in a restaurant of your choice.
Breakfast on board consists of bread, butter, jam, cheese, sausage, coffee, tea and muesli. At lunch and/or dinner you are offered soup and salad as well as fish and meat dishes.
Beverages
The saloon on the ship is a restaurant, lounge, and bar all in one. Here you can always get cool drinks – with or without alcohol. Generally, the crew keeps track of your drinks in a list that is tallied up for payment at the end of the trip. Naturally, the drinks on board are slightly more expensive than in the supermarket around the corner, but after all you are in a small "floating restaurant." Just as in every bar or restaurant, it is not allowed to bring your own drinks on board.

Your tour price includes the use of an Island Hopping rental bike. We urgently discourage you from bringing your own bike because the transport from your hometown to Greece by airplane is both costly and risky. The bikes often get damaged during transport and the transfer taxis are often unwilling to transport bike boxes.
On arrival you receive a 21-gear aluminum Island Hopping touring bicycle. These bicycles are especially made for us and the result of our long experience in cycling tourism. The men’s bicycles have a frame size of 56 cm or 60 cm, and the frames of the women’s bicycles are 46 cm and 52 cm.
All the bicycles have a fender, a kickstand, a rack, and a quick release seat. We provide an Ortlieb waterproof saddlebag for everybody.
The bicycles are deliberately not equipped with bottle holders in order to avoid accidents. The use of rucksacks (except for hydration packs) is, in our opinion, less practical than handlebar bags or saddlebags which are more easily accessible. If necessary we supply you with a waterproof saddlebag by Ortlieb, a practical way of carrying drinks, bathing gear, camera etc.
Should you not want to be without your own saddle (without the post) or your own click pedal, please bring them with you and let your tour guide attach them to your rental bike.
We kindly ask you in your own interest to take good care of the hired bike during the trip and to ensure that the bike is always safely places and protected from accidents (e.g. falling into saltwater). Please keep in mind that you will have to pay compensation for any damage your cause, and that this is not covered by the rental fee.
Required safety helmets
In order to guarantee optimum protection we request that you bring your own helmet and - for your own safety - wear it on all bike tours. You are free not to wear a helmet if you are aware of the risks and take over the responsibility for yourself.

This tour is thus one of the more demanding in our program because the region is relatively mountainous. The bike routes require a basic level of fitness which you should have acquired by occasional or daily cycling.
The daily routes of 18 to 31 mi. cover hilly or mountainous terrain and can be completed without time constraints. The routes can reach an altitude of 985 to 2,300 ft. You will also come across some longer and rather steep climbswhere pushing your bike is of course permitted. The roads are mostly asphalted and usually there is little traffic.
The tour guides will inform you about the course of the tour in due time. You can always choose to skip a bike tour and spend the time sunbathing on the ship instead. You can also decide each day for yourself whether you would like to cycle individually using the maps provided or join one of the tour guides.
We generally believe that only children with a lot of cycling experience and in a good physical condition aged 10 years and older are able to master the bike tours with their own. Furthermore we offer bicycle rental only for people of 5 ft height or more. For smaller children, bicycle seats are limited available (reservation required).
This tour is rated Leisure and is for cyclists in average physical condition.

Nearest airport: Dalman, Turkey
Nearest train station: Dalman, Turkey
You will find your ship on embarkation day in the port of Marmaris in Turkey. Check-in time on board begins at 2 p.m. The ship’s exact location in the port is not decided until the actual embarkation day.
Traveling by plane to Dalman
Traveling by plane is the fastest, cheapest and most comfortable way to get to Turkey. The closest airport for this trip is Dalaman. There are scheduled flights as well as chartered flights to Dalaman (www.condor.de or www.tuifly.com from German Airports). All flights are non-smoking flights. If there is no flight to Dalaman, Izmir is another possible airport.
From our experience, there is a 50% chance that chartered planes will change their scheduled flight times. The respective travel agent will directly inform you of any such changes. Set flight times are only really available with scheduled flights and these are generally much more expensive.
If possible, please choose a return flight that does not depart until early or late afternoon to ensure a stress-free return to your home country.
Transfers between airport and boat
We organize collective transfers from Dalaman airport to the port of Marmaris. As long as those transfers take place on embarkation and disembarkation days they are free of charge for you.
At the airport, you will be received by a person carrying an "Islandhopping" panel or a panel with your name on. We generally organize small buses or taxis for the transfer, so you may incur a wait for guests from other destinations.
Boarding
You will come across one or two tour guides, wearing a blue polo with the sign "Inselhüpfen," standing by the ship.
The tour begins officially with a first communal dinner on board.

Straddling Asia and Europe, Turkey is a fascinating and a welcoming blend of East and West. Istanbul represents the appeal of Turkey – the melding of ancient history with 21st-century amenities and attractions. Many go to Turkey to see the ancient ruins – testaments to Turkey's diverse and storied history and the influence of Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman empires. Religious iconography and art are plentiful in the country’s many stunning mosques, synagogues, and churches. Turkish architecture sets an exotic eastern tone with its many domes and vibrant mosaics, and its markets are full of colorful treasures waiting to be discovered.
Turkey's substantial coastlines along the Mediterranean, Aegean, and Black Seas give its beaches a Riviera-like ambiance. The crystal blue waters of Turkish beaches are reminiscent of neighboring Greece, but the port towns and seaside villages have a distinctly Turkish flavor.

Alterations that become necessary after the finalization of the contract and that are made in good faith are permitted if they are not substantial, and do not change the overall character of the trip. Participation
A vacation that involves exercise and physical activity requires greater commitment than a conventional package tour. It is your duty to make certain that you are up to the physical challenges of such a trip. The pre-condition for a bike-tour is that you are able to handle a bicycle in street traffic and on unpaved paths under any weather conditions. If you rent a bike, it is your responsibility to check the condition of the bike, particularly the brakes. You bear sole responsibility for adhering to all legal regulations at home and abroad, particularly regulations about travel documents and cross-border trade. When traveling across the exterior borders of the EU, your luggage must remain unlocked, to facilitate passage through customs. If your baggage is searched, you will be notified about it upon arrival at the destination. If problems with the procurement of the services occur, you are required to help within the scope of legal regulations, in order to avoid potential damages or keep them at a minimum and report any complaints to us immediately.
Duty of Care
During the duration of the trip, you are liable for damage to or loss of bicycles and any equipment entrusted to you. For guided tours, this is only valid if you have separated yourself from the group, have disobeyed instructions from the tour guides, or caused the damage or loss intentionally, through negligence or gross negligence.
Warranty
You can demand redress if the trip services are not rendered according to the contract. This can be solved by us providing compensation of equal or greater value. In the case of disproportionate effort, corrective action can be denied. For the period in which the services that have not been rendered according to contract, you can request a reduction in travel price after your return. The pre-condition for this is the immediate notification of our deficiencies or those of our tour guides, so that we have the opportunity to find a remedy. Tour guides are not authorized to recognize claims. Independent of a reduction in travel price, you can demand compensation due to non-compliance with the travel contract, unless we are not responsible for the defect.
Limitation of claim
