Wales, despite being such a small country, is a country full of life, culture and beauty waiting to be explored. Pembrokeshire, located in south west region of the country, is one of Wales’ most stunning regions. It is home to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only coastal national park of its kind in the United Kingdom. Although whale watching is possible along the breathtaking coastline, you will most likely see dolphins and porpoises.
In the north part of the tour you will visit Cardigan Bay, a permanent residence of these fabulous creatures, where you can take boat trips to explore the sea life, as well as its great bird life. Away from the coast, the national park opens to homes for badgers and otters, and beautiful, rolling green hills dotted with herds of sheep.

Day 1: Arrive Fishguard
Arrival in the quaint port town of Fishguard. From here you could catch a ferry to Ireland! You will stay in a wonderful guest house overlooking the sea from the back of the property and gardens.
Overnight in Fishguard.
Day 2: Fishguard Loop Tour (20 miles/32 km)Today you have a fabulous coastal ride, as you head west. You will first visit a tiny ancient chapel in Llanwnda before heading to the lighthouse at Stumble Head. This is a popular location to view sealife, dolphins, porpoises and various whale species. After your look across the sea you head back inland, with occasional views of the ragged Pembrokeshire coast line, until you reach a working Mill. From there, you return to Fishguard, where you can spend the evening walking around the town.

Day 3: Fishguard - Saundersfoot (32 miles/52 km)
The route today takes you into the wild area of the Preseli Hills famous for its ponies and blue stones. These blue rocks are where the stones used to build Stonehenge came from, but you can only wonder how such huge rocks were transported from Wales to South England centuries ago! You will soon turn south and follow the rolling hills towards the south coast and the beautiful fishing village of Saundersfoot. Take a walk on the wonderful sandy beach before enjoying the evening in one of the many local restaurants.

Day 4: The Mills and Mining Trail (37 miles/60 km)
Today you cycle inland through Canaston Woods, which is steeped in mining history. The whole area was a major part of Pembrokeshire's coal fields from the 17th century. Soon you will reach Blackpool Mill, one of Britain’s best examples of a corn grist mill., where you can visit and see the milling machinery. From there, you will follow the river estuary upstream. Make sure to keep a look out for the birdlife on the river banks. Soon you will reach Carew Castle before circling back to Saundersfoot.

Day 5: Sanudersfoot - Haverfordwest (24 miles/40 km)
Today you will cycle west along the south coast of Wales, following the Celtic trail. You will evenutal reach Pembroke, where you can visit the castle and have a break before continuing north to Haverfordwest. You also have the option of riding towards the coast and St Brides Bay, with lovely sandly beaches ideal to stop and relax on, in in the coastal National Park.
Overnight in Haverfordwest.
Day 6: Haverfordwest - Fishguard (43 miles/70 km)
First you will cycle to the coastal national park (or back for those that opt to do the optional trip) and onto St David’s, Wales smallest spiritual capital with a cathedral. This will be a long day, but if you have time you can take a fast boat excursion to Ramsey Island, featuring a bird sanctuary. After your visit, you could cycle onto St David’s head to see the stunning views before heading north to Fishguard.

Day 7: Fishguard - Near Cardigan - Fishguard (34 miles/55 km)
Today's route follows a stretch of coastline that is truly stunning. You will cycle up the stunning Cym Gwaun Valley right into the Welsh hills before looping back to the west coast of Pembrokeshire. You can take a detour to Cardigan, a superb town at the head of a beautiful river. There are a few chances to relax on a nice sandy beach before heading back over the hills to Fishguard.

The bikes on this tour are 24-speed hybrid bikes either a Sportser P5 or a Sonoran. Common equipment with the bikes are adjustable saddles, mudguards and rear racks. Standard accessories include a saddle bag, padlock and chain, water bottle holder, puncture kit, spare inner tube and tool kit.

This tour follows tarmac roads, through terrain consisting of rolling hills. Not only will you cycle on safe bike ways, but also on minor country lanes as you take a circular route around the region.

1. Cancellations must always be made in writing and are applicable only on the day received by us. The following cancellation terms apply:
- Up to 56 days prior to holiday start date - loss of deposit
- 35-55 days prior to holiday start date - 50% of total holiday cost
- 28-34 days prior to holiday start date - 75% of total holiday cost
- 1 -27 days prior to holiday start date - 100% of total holiday cost
Any refunds will be made by cheque and in pounds Sterling Some trips have different cancellation terms, details of which shall be on your holiday confirmation.
2. A booking is accepted on receipt by us of a completed booking form with a deposit of 100 pounds per person and once we have issued a confirmation. The balance of the full holiday cost is due 8 weeks (56 days) prior to your holiday start date. If the balance is not received by the due date we reserve the right to cancel your booking and apply the cancellation charges as detailed in paragraph 3 below. When bookings are made less than 8 weeks before the start of your holiday, full payment must be made when booking. We have a card surcharge of 1.5% on all card payments.
3. Prices quoted in this brochure are in pounds sterling and are intended as a guide only. Hooked on Cycling reserves the right to alter any prices at any time before your holiday is accepted. If at time of booking the price is different to that in our brochure you will be advised the revised price applicable before the booking is accepted. We reserve the right to impose surcharges once we have issued a confirmation. Surcharges will only be imposed due to variation in transportation costs and exchange rates.
4. If we need to cancel your holiday we shall offer either an alternative Hooked on Cycling tour at similar cost or a full refund.
5. We cannot accept liability or pay compensation where the contract (booking) is affected by 'force majeure' or Act of God. In the context of these terms and conditions, 'force majeure' is any event that we could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. These events include but are not limited to war, threat of war, flood, explosion, sabotage, riot, civil commotion or strife, hostilities, industrial dispute, natural disaster, fire, acts of God, terrorist activity, nuclear disaster, adverse weather, government action, technical problems with transportation or other events outside our control.
6. If you need to make alterations to your holiday after your deposit has been received and accepted by Hooked on Cycling we shall do our utmost to help, we do however charge an administration fee of 20 pounds per person. Alterations inside 8 weeks before departure would in effect be a cancellation and re-booking.
7. For your security Hooked on Cycling complies with the EU travel package directive.
8. It is a condition of booking that clients have adequate insurance with a reputable insurer to cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, loss or damage of luggage and its contents and expenses associated with cancellation or curtailment. The client is responsible for any loss or damage to baggage, bicycles or personal possessions or any consequential loss resulting there from. Hooked on Cycling accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to baggage, possessions or bicycles while in transit with us or our partners. If a client becomes ill, all hospital expenses, doctors fees and repatriation costs are the responsibility of the client and Hooked on Cycling shall not be liable to refund of tour cost.
9. We do our utmost to ensure you have an enjoyable holiday. If you have any problems please contact us or our partners immediately and we shall do our best to resolve them. Any complaints should be notified to us as soon as reasonably possible and in any event notified to our office within 15 days of the end of your holiday.
10. Clients must ensure they have or plan to have adequate fitness to enable them to complete their chosen tour.
11. Hooked on Cycling cannot be held responsible for breakdown of clients own cycle. In the event of a breakdown which results in a tour not being completed Hooked on Cycling shall not be liable to refund any tour cost. In the event Hooked on Cycling will do their best to help get the client to the next hotel or back to the start location. Any cost incurred shall be the responsibility of the client. If a bike is hired from Hooked on Cycling full emergency backup to severe mechanical breakdown is provided.
12. The information contained in this brochure is to the best of our knowledge correct, all information is subject to alteration without notice. Hooked on Cycling accepts no liability for any inaccuracy in the information produced.
13. If the actions of you or your party cause damage to accommodation or property of a third party or cause accident on the highway you agree to indemnify us against any claim (including legal cost) made against us by or on behalf of the owners of such accommodation or property or resulting accident.
14. Hooked on Cycling cannot be held responsible of the conditions of the highway, trials or golf course or for other users of such routes which are included in our tours and at all times you take part in your chosen activity at your own risk. We are therefore not responsible for death, injury, or illness, of customers on our holidays.
15. Our group tours are international. We sell internationally and also share departure dates with other European Companies and therefore cannot guarantee the composition of a group in terms of nationality, age, singles or couples.
16. Group and guided tours may need a minimum number of participants to start, if this number is not achieved you will be notified 4 weeks prior to start of the tour. The minimum number required will be included on your confirmation. On a guided trip if numbers are not achieved we may still go ahead with the trip at our own discretion.
17. Our bikes are checked regularly however it is the responsibility of the guest to satisfy themselves that the rental cycle is in roadworthy condition.
18. On our self guided tours the maps and route directions provided are for guidance only. We cannot accept responsibility for any inaccuracies of the published material which you will receive, to the best of our knowledge, was correct at the time of printing.
19. Hooked on Cycling are not responsible for any extra costs incurred if any public transport is cancelled. We do our utmost to ensure any public transport timetables are up to date in our tour material but it is the responsibility of the guest to check local information on day of travel for current travel times.
